I was washing my daughters socks and they seems to get stuck or lost in the laundry. Does anyone have anything they use to put the socks in. I have seen the bags they make but I didn't know if there was anything else I could use befor I bought one of those.

I safety pin them together, and then wash them in a mesh laundry bag just for safe measure...

Those tiny little things do tend to get lost don't they?

I think one day I'll move my dryer, and will find the horde of socks my dryer has eaten over the years...

i took an old t-shirt and sewed the neck, one arm and the bottom closed. i put the baby's socks in through the arm i left open and then pin it shut with diaper pins. it works really well, but you have to make sure that if there are any chunks of dirt or food stuck on the sock that you remove it before it goes in the laundry or it stays in the t-shirt.

If you just want to wash the baby socks in the washer get some baby pins like they used to use back in the day for diapers. And pin them together.

For the small or delicate items, I have always used a mesh lingerie bag. You can usually find something like it at a discount store or from a mail order company like www.harrietcarter.com

newborn socks dont really get dirty dirty, you can hand wash them in the sink and lay them out to dry on a towel.
