If it's green then you don't have anything to worry about. However, If she starts having black stools (poop) or if it has red streaks in it she needs to go to the hospital.

Your baby's poop will change colors and consistencies all the time. Don't panic. If you have recently stopped breastfeeding or changed formulas this will happen. I suggest that you get the "What to Expect the First Year" book and it's packed with lots of information about your babies development and trouble shooting before you run & call your pediatrician. But if you notice blood in your baby's diaper then call the Dr. Good luck sweets!!!

Green poop is perfectly normal. It is the usual color of their stool. If there wasn't a large amount in the diaper and it wasn't really liquidy, then it was a normal bowel movement and the baby should be fine. But if you are really concerned then take the baby into the doctor in the morning.

green? well like everyone Else says could be just a small change in a diet, but colour change is what to look for to tell if the baby is sick or getting too much iron(black). Babies can't tell you so this is the way. Good Job for noticing!

hey Airagirl1, there isn't a thing to worry 'bout. My mum's a childcarer so i know. green poop isn't anything, she's just eaten something that her stomach coulnd't hold completely. Although if she keeps doing green poop for over a week and that's when you should show her to the doctors 'cause that means she has had something' really bad which her stomach has let go of and will let go of any type of food. make sure she drinks heaps of fluids to keep her system hydrated and working. Best of Luck!

Green poop can be normal. All the babies i've seen has had green poop one time or another. Certain vitamins can cause it to be green in babies and adults. Just make sure he or she is drinking plenty of fluids so your baby won't get dehydrated. Good luck.

You have every right to be panic sweetie but i think its normal...seen that to my baby too...i was 18 then & panicking...but it turns out to be normal....going to your doctor is a very bright idea for a 17 year old mom like you...Try asking your pedia 'bout parenting for more info...best of luck sweetie.

the green is fine. just wait until morning. I read your last question... it the baby has a runny nose....did you use the snot sucker thing? that is a good idea if she is congested. let me know if you have any more questions. i check my email daily. suck her snot, get some rest...both of you. goodluck.
mother of 2 and one on the way.
