Whenever my 5 yr old comes home from a weekend w/ his dad, he insists on sleeping w/ me. He says there are monsters in his bed. He never used to do this. He panics when I tell him it is time for bed. Whenever I put him in his own bed, he clings to my neck and will not let go. This usually lasts for 2 days. I have tried to convince him that there are no monsters. Sometimes I take him to my own bed.

put them there for a reason. If you are not going to bother reading the paperwork or take the pills right why bother taking them at all?

I'm planning on stopping breastfeeding my 15 month old daughter soon, but I don't know how to go about it. I don't know anything about it, so please forgive my innocence of the subject. Does it hurt? Am I likely to get overly emotional about it? Or do you think that maybe I should just wait and see if she loses interest in breastfeeding?
I only feed her at night to get her sleepy, and then again if she wakes up during the night. Please don't give me lectures about her having created a dependancy on me to go to sleep, I know that this has happened.
I'm just after advice.
Thanks in advance :)

I just recently had a baby. 4 months ago. I was bleeding for about 6 weeks and when I went to the my doctor, I asked for the birth control patch.

I used it for 3 weeks and the 4th week i had a period. It stopped completely on a sunday. Btw, when I started the patch, I didnt have contact with my husband for about a week because I want the medicine to be completely in my system before having contact again. While I was on the patch, my husband and I had no protection at all, but just the patch. On that sunday, I decided not to use patch anymore so I stopped using it. After that, when my husband and I have contact, we were always careful and we had protection.

It's been 9 weeks since I my period from using the patch. Am I pregnant or it's just the irregularity of using a birth control and being just recently pregnant?

my wife and i have individual insurance. There is no maternity coverage. We want to have a baby in the most cost effective way but also in a quality hospital. We both make good money so we don't qualify for government programs like medicaid. I really just want to avoid paying 10k out of pocket if possible.

My husband and I want to name our baby girl Addison. We however, do not like the nickname "Addy", and do not want her called that. We are hoping that if we have a nickname for her before we announce her name, that we can aviod her being called Addy. The middle name would be either Riley, Andrea, or Karyl (pronounced Carol), and our last name is Fox. Any suggestions?

At what point did you accept your child? There are no wrong answers, and I am not being judgmental. I just need to know. I am with a man right now that has made it hell for me since the day I first found out I was pregnant. Over time, he has come to be more accepting of the pregnancy, but my heart hurts so much because of things he has said in the past, such as "I will never consider it my child because it is unwanted", "I don't think it's really mine"(despite the fact that there is absolutely no reason for him to think otherwise) and telling me I cannot give the baby boy his last name because he doesn't consider it his. I just want the opinions of men that maybe have had a similar experience with their child and eventually come around. I am 6 months pregnant now. I am 29 and the father is 30. We both have pretty good jobs and have lived together for over 2 years. I am just hurt.. Any advice or wisdom? Personal experience?

A friend and co-worker is preg....the father works here too but doesn't know she is preg. they are moving in together in a few weeks...she knows he does not want anymore children (they are both divorced, he has 2 girls she has 1 son). I do not really like abortion....but she is going to get one without telling him...I offered to take her to the clinic Wednesday and be with her because no one else knows - - part of me feels guilty - part of me thinks I am being a supportive friend........what are your thoughts?

I had planned on nursing my son until age two. He is now eleven months and we are trying to get pregnant. I am not opposed to tandem nursing but don't want to nurse him until he is three or four. Is it very difficult to wean a toddler when he is still seeing his baby sibling nursing? Should I just wean him during pregnancy?

1) No one could have ever afforded to support all African-Americans. Does that mean we should not have fought for their rights?

2) No one could have ever afforded to support all Jews. Does that mean we should not have defended them?

3) No one could ever afford to support all beaten women and children . Does that mean we should not interfere?

4) No one could ever afford to support all unborn children. Does that mean we should turn our backs?

tu madre xl3 has asked question such as "I think I'm pregnant and I'm 12 HELP" she says in this question that she had sex with friends. Then she turns around and says "I'm pregnant and still a virgin HELP" and says she's never had sex. Now, on the question "A law for teen pregnancies" she says she's 12 and her and her lover have twins and are working on popping out a few more. It's not only her, but she is the person that I've seen answering a lot of questions lately, and every time it's a direct contridiction of what she answered in another question.
My question is this, what do people like this get out of lying? I mean, a lot of people ask questions that they need help on. Do they think it's funny to lie and make fun of a sometimes serious situation? I'm not bashing her neccessarily, I just used her as an example. I am just genuinely curious about what they get out of lyingon here. If anyone knows anyone else that does this, let me know so I don't take their answers serious
