My husband and I want to name our baby girl Addison. We however, do not like the nickname "Addy", and do not want her called that. We are hoping that if we have a nickname for her before we announce her name, that we can aviod her being called Addy. The middle name would be either Riley, Andrea, or Karyl (pronounced Carol), and our last name is Fox. Any suggestions?

I love the name Addison. Here are some nicknames:
Sonnie
Dissy
Ad
Ada
or something completely unrelated like:
Jewel
Sam
her initials
a combination of her first and middle (like Addley, Addea, Adryl). Or, be like me and not use a nickname.

Why do you need a nickname? Addison is a lovely name and Addie is the shortened version. Isn't that enough? What is spring break? We celebrate Easter at this time of year.

You can just call her by her middle name I think Karyl sounds the best with Addison. "Adela" nickname maybe

Addison IS a nice name but I'm sorry "Addison Fox." Please no. Sound's like the name of some story book character...furthermore...they ARE going to call her ADDY (which is not cute)...maybe Ateyah Fox...or Atessa Fox...or Karyl Fox with Addison as the middle name...

I like Riley.....My daughters name is Krislynn and I do not use nicknames because I don't like Kris or Krissy. For a nick you could call her Riley....Congratulations!

I hate to break it to you, but you don't have any choice over nicknames. They come on their own...my daughter is Dakota, I figured Cody was cute, but she is now called Koda....trust me, I've tried to deter it...to no avail!
