I just recently had a baby. 4 months ago. I was bleeding for about 6 weeks and when I went to the my doctor, I asked for the birth control patch.

I used it for 3 weeks and the 4th week i had a period. It stopped completely on a sunday. Btw, when I started the patch, I didnt have contact with my husband for about a week because I want the medicine to be completely in my system before having contact again. While I was on the patch, my husband and I had no protection at all, but just the patch. On that sunday, I decided not to use patch anymore so I stopped using it. After that, when my husband and I have contact, we were always careful and we had protection.

It's been 9 weeks since I my period from using the patch. Am I pregnant or it's just the irregularity of using a birth control and being just recently pregnant?

Take a test and settle any doubt in your mind. I don't think that any form of contraception is 100% reliable, so you stand a slim chance of being pregnant.
My daughter is now 15 months old and my periods are still trying to settle down and become regular again, so don't worry too much, but do take a test or see a doctor to put your mind at rest.

I don't know it really even depends how much you breastfeed you baby or if you experience any pregnancy symptoms at all not just missed period and I never had any patch but maybe it's possible that could cause the irregularity of your cycles.Like everyone else always recommends do a home preg. test and you will see where you stand or have a examination by your doctor or gyneacologist they will help you better with your problem.I really don't know how to help you more but I wish you the best of luck

Sounds like to could be the birth control making your periods irregular. Take a home pregnancy test if your unsure or go to the doctor for a blood test. If your not pregnant it could be something else.

Birth control usually takes about a month before it really takes full effect. It could be irregularity...i've gone about 12 weeks without my period...and there was no chance I was pregnant. Why don't you try taking a pregnancy test?

You should get tested and act as though you are pregnant, just in case you are. My brother's girlfriend was on the patch and I now have a new nephew because the patch failed her.

if you have the symptoms and have had intercourse after you child and your periods, then yes, you just may be, but don't depend on others, go and have it checked by the doctor,or sumthin mite b rong cuz b/c pills are posed to make ur periods normal not abnormal! go check it, and don't take home tests cuz they are very very annoying and confusing..good luck with the results!!
