There is always a chance the ultrasound tech is wrong but I'm sure they are right more so than not. The ultrasound I had with my son was pretty obvious he was a boy. With my daughter they told me she was a boy but then my ultrasound at 5 months showed she was a girl. The further along you are the easier it will be to tell.
Boys names: My sons name is Caden (which I never heard until he was born and then everyone seemed to be naming their sons Caden). Make sure its a strong name that will take him him from boy to man. Classic boy names are nice to. Good Luck and get plenty of sleep while your pregnant your son will keep you on your toes probably until he starts a family of his own :)

They can be wrong, but ultrasound equipment is so good these days that it's not likely if they got a pretty good look. I do know of someone who went into labor thinking she was having a boy, and ended up having twin girls, but I think that she had an ultrasound done by very very inexperienced or possibly stupid or blind technician, or she was lying about being supposed to be having one boy.
I had a son in February (they said right away it was a boy), and we named him Eian Micheal. Some other names we considered were Adrian Luke, Erik Jameson, Anthony Austin, Marc Dominic, William Reece, as well as Liam, Connor, Xander, and Lee.
We also looked at girls names and picked a back-up, Emily Cassandra, just in case!

Yes. The doctor told me I was having a boy.I was all excited since I already had all boy clothes and just all boy stuff. Then the baby was born a girl and had to wear boy clothes and look at a blue room for almost a year!Talk about upset! whew. My advice....go with neautral colors and dont get your hopes up for a certain sex! lol good luck!!

I was told that I was having a girl after I gave birth my boyfriend said babe it's a boy. but oh well I am happy with a beautiful boy. Now I am pregnant again 6 years later and I want them to show me the gender instead of them just telling me.

Yup, they were wrong on me. I was supposed to be a boy, but turned out to be a girl. Although, I think they made the determination based on my heart rate, not on ultrasound. My parents didn't find out until I was born, and that was after they had stocked up on all baby boy stuff...

I've only known of them to be wrong when predicting a girl. Sometimes "it" is hidden. :) I have 3 girls and never got the chance to name a boy. I love the name
Lane
My third daughter would have been Lane but, she ended up being Alaina. We call her Laini. Good luck with your baby boy and God bless your family. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It is much more common for ultrasounds to show girl when it's actually a boy instead of showing boy when it's really a girl. It's harder to miss seeing a penis instead of seeing one that isn't there. Congrats on the baby boy!
