My baby just started doing this:

I lay him down on his back and he just moves his head back and forth realy fas, like saying no really really fast. His eyes will be either opened or closed, but not totally asleep yet. This happens when he is sleepy. He never did this before and I am not too concerned about it, but has your little one done this?

Thought it maybe pink eye but they say they have discharge and she has none. Plus it doesn't seem to bother her at all. Still a happy baby. Trying to deside what to do. Should I call the doctor on the weekend?

I saw a couple on tv who were carrying their children in their car seats and the seat had an over the shoulder carrier strap. I would love to know where to get a seat like this. I am so tired of trying to carry my sons seat 2 inches off the ground. It kills my back since I am so short and he weighs so much. I think the show I saw it on was on TLC and they were a couple from england. I need this seat!!!!!!!

On the other hand, my breasts experience after each feeding, a sharp pain deep inside and my nipples are very red and sensitive...what should I do? Use the medicine he prescribed for my baby's mouth? What about my breasts..is this pain normal? It's because of the suction?

Hello my Friends,
My 7- month old son wakes up 3 -6 times per night. Even though he always goes to sleep at the same time ( 8.30 PM), he wakes up at very different times afterwards. I never know what night to expect. He already knows how to fall asleep on his own, and cries only for a minute or two when being put down to sleep. Do I feed his 6 times a night?? Do I ingore him? What shall I do? Please advise.

I was reading a post from someone from about an hour ago asking about the removal of cough and cold medicines for kids. I think it was good that they took them off because I don't think they really work. But, do you think that uneducated moms will try to use the grown-up medicines on their children in smaller doses now? That could really be harmful! Do you think some people might try to do this? It really scares me!

I am on maternity leave and am his primary caregiver. My husband only sees our son every evening and weekend. In the evenings when my husband wants to play with him, he freaks out until he sees me and only wants me to hold him. I understand it is just a stage. It bothers me as I need "me time" some evenings, not to mention that I think my husband is hurt by it. How long does this stage last, and what can be done to help him warm up to my husband?

I am pregnant and looking forward to breastfeeding once my baby is born. I have been reading a lot of information about it and it is starting to seem scary and hard with all the possible things that they say can go wrong. I just wanted to know if any women out there have actually had a really hard time breastfeeding. I don't think that it will be that complicated but I know it isn't as easy as my husband thinks it is. He thinks you offer the breast, baby nurses and all is well.

I know I've seen some well-written analysis/critiques of the breastfeeding "information" passed out by formula companies, but now that I need it, I can't find it.

Anybody got a link to the sort of article I'm looking for?

My baby girl is 5 weeks old and started w/ colic episodes @ 3 weeks. She has been changed formula 4 times and is now on nutramigen, with milk of magnesia in 2 bottles a day for her constpation issues, and mylicon drops w/ every feeding. She did not tolerate even breast milk w/ strict changes to my diet. 6pm-12am (atleast) are the worst and she looks like she is in SO MUCH pain. However, car rides and sitting her in her swing with the vacuum running right next to her will quiet her everytime. So, is she really in pain during these episodes because I would think that if she was, the simple act of running a vacuum wouldn't quiet her. All her symptoms disappear when you do that, but the minute I turn it off she balls up again, turns red and screams. So what gives? I will feel so much better if I knew she wasn't really in pain, but everywhere I read it says colic is caused by gas and it's painful...any thoughts?
