Did she cry hard recently? Or stay up later than usual, or spend a while doing something intent, like investigating a small something in the carpet?
Babies can get eye strains too, and things like crying hard or staying up too late, or waking too often at night, and cause them to get blood shot.
My sons eyes or just one eye, gets blood shot from crying.

well it depends on how long she has had it. if it has been more than a week, definately call the doctor. make sure that you are using special baby shampoo that doesn't irritate her eyes. i would switch just to see if that is the problem. if there is no discharge it is probably not pink eye. if she seems bothered at all i would definately take her to the doctor. i'm sure that they will know what to do. it is hard when something like this happens to a baby because you can't tell how they feel. i hope she gets better.

If it doesn't improve in a couple of days I would get her in to see her doctor. And I know from experience with my 3 children and from neices and nephews that pink eye does not always have discharge. So it could be pink eye, pets and other animals being around a child that has the pink eye can also give a child the pink eye. And it is also possible she could have gotten something in her eye, or poked her eye.Good luck, best wishes.

It's possible that she just poked herself in the eye accidentally. That happens sometimes with babies. If there is no discharge or swelling, I don't think I would be too concerned. If it has not changed by Monday, then I would call the doctor, just to be sure it is not an infection.

I agree that it's most often allergy symptoms. If it's then eliminate the humidifier and maintain the home windows close, principally within the little one's room or in which the little one sleeps. If you employ the synthetic tears, get the preservative-unfastened form. You do desire to have the little one looked at but when there isn't a drainage from the eyes and no obvious ache then it's not an emergency obstacle, simply comply with up with MD to be risk-free.
