Our daycare provider (my sister in law watches my kids) says she eats breakfast and lunch great there, but refuses for us. Sometimes I sneak it in, but she doesn't want to have anything to do with solids with us. It's the same baby food, same approx time, etc. Anyone else experience this? I started her on solids late- maybe 1 month ago. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend any stores I can visit in person which stock a LARGE range of baby slings? I live in London UK.

My daughter is on Similac Alimentum and it is pretty expensive. I have found lots of it on ebay that pretty cheap. So would you buy formula off of ebay?

Ok every baby i know that is formula fed when they reach 1 yr old they were taken off of the bottle and formula and given regular milk. in a sippy cup. (this is what their pediatricians said to do) well what about breastfeed babies? what if i dont want to breastfeed longer than a year? Do i just switch to a sippy cup and regular milk when my pediatrician says its ok. (most say 12 months is fine)

I have been on google and asked my health visitor, but have been unable to come up with any mother and baby groups in the Ipswich area (UK). Does anyone know of any, or a website that gets local mummies to meet?

My dr. Recrommended when he is 6-8 weeks old only because he will have his vaccines by 8 weeks, but did you take your newborn baby out in public sooner then that?
I know its flu season and its only 3 more weeks until my baby is 2 months to get his shots...but sometimes i want to go to the store with my husband and babay, and not leave them here and visa versa...

I have identical twin girls who are turning 1 next week. I am planning on buying them a pair of shoes and an outfit, but I don't know what else to buy them.
They already have so many toys, so I would like to buy them a sentimental gift. I thought about maybe buying their first piggy bank, but that is rather inexpensive and kind of cliche'. Any ideas of something I could buy them that they would treasure when they are older?

I have always wondered about this: Why do mothers put rice cereal in baby's bottle? Everything I have read says do not do this yet I am the only mother I personally know who did not do it. So why do mothers do this? Any insights? Thanks!

OK, so we are both in our 50's and I just wonder what everyone thought about this.

My twin and I were born 6 weeks premature. She was born first and I was breech. The doctor that delivered us was a "quack" and didn't really know if we were identical or not. We always assumed we were identical cause everyone got us confused.

She was born with a head full of hair and I was born with just a sprig on top. She was always about 5 lbs. heavier than I when we were growing up. We are very close but I just wonder. Do you think that we are identical or not?

She seems really happy, no fever. I am very worried and couldnt find no one that had that same problem with their babies. Today she had about 13oz for the entire day.
What should I do? Sometimes she will eat every 5 to 6 hours.

She actually leaves wet spots on her sheets where her head is. I just want to know if that's normal. (She's one year old.)

Her baby is about 10 days old.
I know that she's strong and able, but sometimes she's a little doubtful about her ability to care for and raise her son on her own.
She had tears in her eyes on the second day at home, but on the third day, she seemed to be getting better.

Right now, she gets help from me and some relatives, but these people are leaving soon and she seems to worry that she'll end up doing something 'wrong' to her baby without these people around.

How do I encourage her and keep her spirit up?

My daughter has just started similac hypoallergenic formula. We have tried (WE meaning the doctor, nurse,me and baby..oh and father) every formula and so they finally have put her on the hypoallergenic formula. She was very constipated from the soy and that's ultimately what made them switch but anyways, my question is how long did it take for the constipation to ease up when your baby started this type of formula? Is it normal to have that awful smell?? Also, we have tried everything with the constipation from karo syrup, sitz bath, juice, water, I have had to use suppositories every few days....this is all from doctors orders but now they don't want me doing all that they would prefer to see if the switch to this formula will do the trick. Please, please don't tell or preach to me about how breast is best....trust me I know. I wish I could breastfeed but I have a medical condition and I must take my medicine, it's life threatening if I don't and I can't have the medicine if I am

I know I have 30 days to add baby, but after he/she is born will he/she be covered? Is it possible that I can start the coverage before the baby is born? and if so how will I go about it. I know I need to call them, I get home so late they are always closed, so eventually I will get a live person.

Someone was telling me about KidCare also, I don't qualify for any state aid so what is the procedure for applying? Is my income taken into consideration? and how soon after birth will it start?

I know a few women who have college degrees, but stay at home...is it a security thing? Like a back-up plan? Two of them say they look back and wish they would have not gone and saved the money for their OWN children's college one day...anybody a SAHM with a yet-to-be applied degree?

(I plan on taking online courses later on, maybe for after all my kids are teens, but right now daddy makes enough for us both.)
