You will want to invest in a good stroller - preferably one to stick the carseat in. Tons of onesies, bibs, pampers, and baby wipes. Also get Desetin or Boudreaux's Butt Paste and A&D Ointment to prevent diaper rash and chafing when using baby powder. Johnson and Johnson's No Tears Shampoo and Johnson and Johnson Baby Wash.
A bottle warmer is great for middle-of-the-night, 45-minutes of sleep feedings - if you can afford two, get two (one for home and one in baby's bag). Bottle brush, pacifiers, and pacifier clips to keep them from falling on the floor, burping cloths, changing pads.
Two or three baby bags and insulated bottle bags to keep cold things cold.

Bottle warmer is a wonderful thing to have!!! Munchkin is the brand. You can buy it at Target.
Desitin Cream for diaper rash!!!!!
Nail Clipper
Thermometer
Wearable Blanket
A wonderful thing that I've discovered was those pads that they put under your butt while in hospital. They work great on the changing table. Buy a box of 100-200 & you'll never need to wash any changing table pads or so forth... You can also bring it with you in a diper bag & use it as a changing mat when you are out... http://www.howardmedical.com/
Diper bag they will give you at the hospital...
Baby Lotion - Aveeno Soothing Relief is best for sensitive skin I found!
Baby wash - Aveeno
If you are formula feeding why do you need Nursing Pillow???
Well, that's it for now :)
You can use Olive Oil for cradle cap if that happens

i found that the only things i couldn't do without was the nasal bulb for snotty baby noses, nail clip so that baby wouldn't scratch herself, lot's of undershirts and recieving blankets, lots of bottles and paci's, and the crib and carseat. baby hats were useful and babys use lots of diapers and formula...
i never used the changing table, the baby tub, she outgrew half of the clothes before she could wear them (cause baby's grow so fast!), and i never used playpens, never used the wipe warmer or the bottle warmer, never used the little scratch mittens either.
just f.y.i.

Food, water, and shelter is all it "NEEDS". Other things are just for comfort and giving your baby a higher chance of surviving.
