Yes I'd say it is just fine if you lay the baby down flat and it kind of fills in then it is fine!! Wet diapers are a great sign is the urine pale yellow and almost odorless? Dark strong smelling urine is a sign of dehydration. A wet mouth and skin elasticity are ways to check for adequate hydration also. You can check for skin elasticity by gently pinching the skin on the hand it should spring back quickly. Crying without tears and lethary are also signs of dehydration. I'm sure you're little man is just fine some babies have more pronounced soft spots than others. DO NOT GIVE WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vomiting or ''spitting up '' once every couple of days is VERY normal! Unless the baby is having difficutly keeping fluids down or vomiting up almmost all of it's intake it is ok.

I think I have read that a sunken fontanelle indicates dehydration. If he has been vomiting he could get dehydrated. I suggest you offer him boiled bottled water between meals just in case.
I don't believe that you can overfeed a baby if he is only having breast, or bottle in recommended quantities. And they pee even if they are dehydrated. If you are worried, I'd consult a doctor or medical centre soon...its always better to be safe than sorry *:-)

Yes, it should be sunken in - in fact, Doctors check for that at baby check-ups. The skin sinks in because there is no bone (skull) to hold it up. Relax - baby is perfectly healthy!!

I think it is. My baby has it too. As long as they pee enough & don't have diarrhea they are fine. I give my baby water too. Not a lot, but just a few sips here and there since she was a few weeks old.
