I would like to VISIT a shop which sells a vast selection of baby slings. I have seen a lot of shops online but I would like to actually try them out before buying (i have a back problem and need to test how they feel on my back)

Can anyone recommend any stores I can visit in person which stock a LARGE range of baby slings? I live in London UK.

Check out your local chapter of Nine In, Nine Out. They are a babywearing group with meetings and chapters all over the world. They usually will have several different types of slings, wraps and carriers available to try out so that you know what you like before you buy. The website for the group in London is http://www.slingmeet.co.uk/

Check around for a baby boutique, too. More and more of them are carrying different types of babywearing paraphernalia.

i actually haven’t ever found any store that sell them maybe the fancy boutique stores might. my advice to you would be try to make them. most of them are very straight forward. i make them myself.you eventually end up with either a pouch, ring sling, or a wrap. for a person with a bad back i would defiantly suggest the wrap ( which happens to be nothing more than 5 or 6 yards of fabric) it uses both shoulders and your whole back for support it is by far the most comfortable unless you have a specific spot that will can not be touched. im not fond of the pouch style bc they are not adjustable so if you gain or loose weight or your baby just gets allot bigger as they do you will have to buy a whole new sling. i use the ring slings as the one i take places bc it is smaller and more compact but it only uses one shoulder for support so after a wile it gets uncomfortable but you can always just switch sides or positions. im going to give you some great links on how to make your own. target does have some of the pouch style but i haven’t ever seen them in the stores only online. good luck!

The particularly outlined twofold pocket development Baby Carrier ensures that each of your children is constantly secure, agreeable and cost. The Baby Carriers emphasizes an inward and external pocket for each one infant. Every inward pocket underpins each one infant's back and the external pocket upholds each one child's head and neck and ensures your children.
