i asked the question on ECGs earlier, thanks to everyonw who replyed, you were all really helpfull.

I took kenzie to docs this afternoon an he should be seeing someone at the hospitail in a few weeks (joke aint it)

The doc says from the symptoms (and i made sure took photos of the episodes too) its most likely heart related, though she said his heart sounds fine (so did his ECG though) as do his lungs.

She said the hospital will do more tests, but she didnt say what tests.

What other sort of tests can they do? im guessing an ultra sound? Are there any other tests they can do on a 5 month old baby?

What are these tests likely to be looking for? And are they going to be painfull for my little man?

im sorry for asking so many questions, but im goin out my mind with worry and feeling really helpless at the moment.

Any info or links to informative sites much appreciated.

Thank you people

My mom is watching him while I am at work and she just called and said that she went around the corner of the bar in the kitchen and came right back and my 8 1/2 month old son was standing holding onto this basket and waving his little arm and he said "bye bye! bye bye!". I wave bye to him every morning and say it and he has been waving bye to me for about 2 months now. So I know he said it and knows what it means. He repeats ba ba sometimes and he knows what it is but since it is one of those things babies repeat over and over I didn't know if that would have been considered his first or if bye bye was his first. I just want to know what to write in his baby book =)

AND just out of curiosity, what were your babies first words?

I used a brand of baby rice cereal a year ago. I totally forgot the name of it. It comes in 2 sizes and I always bought it in WalMart.
Always buy the biggest box that they have for $2.83 and the color of the box was yellow. I am looking to buy now for my second baby. Do you know what is the brand? thank you in advance.

I was horrified! I gave someone a baby gift and they actually told me that they didn't like it! Is that EVER acceptable? I thought it was adorable...it was a cute little outfit with matching socks and a bib - it was Winnie the Pooh... I thought I was safe with that.

I thought if you didn't like a gift, you should just politely say "thank you" and then you can return it to the store on your own time! Do you just blurt out..."I really don't like the gift you gave us." Especially when I didn't ask if she likes it!!!

My son loves to sleep on my chest
and lately hes been waking up to eat and change but then wont go back to sleep
hell cry for an hour or two, even with me holding him and nothings wrong with him.

But the last couple days hes slept on my chest and still waking up to eat and change but then will fall right back alseep. I put pillows on the side of me, just in case, even tho hes nevr rolled off, and i dont move.

I love this now because i can actually get some sleep. but i will feed him and put him in his crib until he wakes up for the first time at night then ill put him on my chest, then after that hell want to stay on my chest all night, but then will go in the crib again in morning.
So basically its only really late that he wants to do this,

Is he going to want to do this all the time,
hes only a week and 5 days old! but im just afraid hes going to want to do this til hes way older and sleeping through the night. Has anyone had a similar issue?

My son turned 3 months on the 24th. On a normal day he eats every three hours, he was a 34 weeker and has kept the same feeding schedule. He is normally a very active child during the day but the last 24 hours he has been acting different. He has slept in the last 24 hours all but maybe 2 hours. My husband and I pick him up and hold him upright and he never awakens. He is not even crying for bottles. I am having to make him eat every 5 hours and he never opens his eyes. Anyone else had this experience? I called the doctor and they said he should be seen but they couldnt see him until tomorrow.

My son was born 5 weeks 2 days ago. I stopped with my bleeding and lochia around 2 weeks.

I started feeling crampy a few days before 5 weeks even got a pimple. I knew I was going to start my period. Well I didn't, but I have been spotting. I started spotting at exactly 5 weeks post partum. Just light brown and light pink blood only when i wipe even if everytime i go to the bathroom. I also have mucous mixed in sometimes.

I had a c/s and also had sex around 2 weeks post partum. Its not possible to get pregnan that soon is it? Or is this my first real period or it trying to get back to normal?

With my firstborn I started my af back at 5 weeks post partum too, but I breastfed. This time around I am not

My husband has gifted me with a much needed break; a 3 night trip to Puerto Rico. I should be thrilled, but we leave tomorrow and I am so uptight about leaving my baby girl. She will be in excellent hands with my mom and older sister, but I stillI cried last night at the thought of not seeing her for 4 days. Have you felt this way and how did you deal with it?

According to the feeding chart my pediatrician gave me, around 5-6 months I should introduce rice cerel and yellow vegetables to my daughter. I guess being a first time mom I am a little confused about the cerel thing. I noticed that the cerel container I bought does not give any dosing instructions. Am I supposed to add the cerel to the babies bottle along with formula? And if so, how much...and do I put in less formula? But then I have also read that it is "bad" to put cerel in the babies bottles and that you should only give them cerel from a spoon. So if that is the case, around what age are babies typically able to eat off of a spoon? My daughter currently eats 6 oz bottles of formula (if that helps with the dosing of the cerel). Thanks for the help!

My son is almost 4 months old. We've had to cut his nails really short (every 2 days) because he keeps scratching at his face and his head. I keep his face moisturized and he does have some cradle cap. Anyways, he scratches until he ends up with small, bleeding cuts on his scalp and in between his eyes. Does anyone know why? Or when this phase will pass? I don't want to keep mittens on him because it's so warm over here. Thanks for your answers.

I don't mean the everyday longing to be home with them.
Does anything happen regularly to you while you are at work that gives you that overwhelmingly urge to be with your baby?

I bathed my son this morning & still smell the baby shampoo ;(

Wondering if others go throught this too.

My sister was told to switch from formula to milk she needed to put half milk and half formula in a bottle for a couple of weeks before she goes to all milk. Is this necessary. I would think that the bottle would still taste like formula. I am switching my daughter to milk. I just want to know how you guys did it.

My 10 month old son was seen at the Dr. on the 18th for a runny nose, the Dr. found that he had an ear infection while we were there. He perscribed Ammoxicilian and he has been taking it since the 19th (haven't scipped a dose). Yesterday the 25th he got a 101.6 fever and today he still has it, he is not to interested in eating, but does drink his bottles. Is this normal? Or am I being and anxious mom?

My lower back has been killing me!! More intense then any backache I've had during pregnancy, it feels like muscle spasms. The last time I had this much back pain is when I used to do landscaping! And I notice the baby has been really active in the last 24 hours as well. I also had so much pressure in my pelvic area it felt like I had a huge bowling ball rolling around inside me. I've only been awake for an hour now and already the backache is starting up again! Another thing is that I'm getting the odd AF type cramp. Which is weird because one of my PMS symptoms pre-pregnancy was lower back stiffness/pain accompanied by cramps. This feels just like I'm about to have a heavy duty period! But I have not lost my mucus plug (although I have dropped quite a bit in the last two days). and I don't have any real contractions, just braxton hicks frequently. I have an OB appointment tommorow morning and I will ask the doctor to check and see if I'm dilating (unless of course any of these symptoms gets worse or my water breaks or something). What do you think? Could this be labor starting?
