i asked the question on ECGs earlier, thanks to everyonw who replyed, you were all really helpfull.

I took kenzie to docs this afternoon an he should be seeing someone at the hospitail in a few weeks (joke aint it)

The doc says from the symptoms (and i made sure took photos of the episodes too) its most likely heart related, though she said his heart sounds fine (so did his ECG though) as do his lungs.

She said the hospital will do more tests, but she didnt say what tests.

What other sort of tests can they do? im guessing an ultra sound? Are there any other tests they can do on a 5 month old baby?

What are these tests likely to be looking for? And are they going to be painfull for my little man?

im sorry for asking so many questions, but im goin out my mind with worry and feeling really helpless at the moment.

Any info or links to informative sites much appreciated.

Thank you people

.From my ECG question :
at 7 weeks my son would scream himself to the point of stopping breathing, took him to hospitail an He Had blood culture tests, 2x ECGs, chest xray and a ph test for acid reflux (tube down asophogus for 24hours not nice) all tests came back ok, so Hospitails conclushion: it was his temper?! And he actually hasent done it fo about 6 weeks

Latley for no apprent reason my son (he seems happy in himself) has fases of going really pale sorta grey, and his temples, forehead and some times the bridge of his nose and the outer corners of his eyes go a bluish colour. The change of colour happens anytime, rest, play and crying. it does look worse when crying though.

You need to be more specific as to your infant's symptoms. Does the baby turn blue? If so, under what circumstances? If it is probably heart related, then an ECG and an echocardiogram (a type of ultrasound) would be in order. If a really complex abnormality were uncovered, then cardiac catheterization would be recommended. From what you describe, this seems unlikely.

Cyanotic spells can be associated with gastro-esophageal reflux, and with other problems involving the esophagus. An H type tracheo-esophageal fistula is rather rare. Sometimes a blood vessel impinges on the esophagus, interferes with swallowing and causes choking and/or cyanosis. A contrast swallowing study might be ordered for this.

Is there any evidence of seizures? If so, an electroencephalogram would be performed.

Except for the cardiac cath, these studies are non invasive or minimally invasive, and would not cause your baby pain. If the problems that concern you become more pronounced or more frequent, be sure to notify your doctor. He or she can communicate with the hospital so you son can be put on the "urgent" list.

You have every right to be so worried but I suggest you ask on behalf of you and your baby to get someone to sit down with you to explain exactly what is happening, why, how and any worries you have. Could you speak to other girls who have just had babies just so speak and share your worries?
Just remember, if the doctor or specialists are trying to test to see what's wrong if anything, then it just shows they are doing their jobs properly. You must have the courage to ask questions or take somebody with you. Good luck you sound so nice. xx

I don't know what type of test they may do, so I am not any help there. I just wanted to say that I am very sorry for everything you are going through and I know how painful it is as a mother for your child to be sick and you not know what to do or how to help. I said a prayer for you and your son and I know that God will see you through. God Bless.

check out Breath Holding Syndrome, its common but not a lot of doctors know much about it - my grandson had it and we had to hit his back hard to stop him choking.

My dear the only test which is required at this stage is ECHOCARDIOGRAM. Please go for this test.
