I would switch baby to a sippy cup first then switch to milk.
U might have a harder time switching cuz baby associates bottle with formula. If ur baby is a year old that's when u switch to whole milk and putting half formula and half milk is the right way to do it but in a sippy cup. I had both my babies on a sippy by the time they were 8 months. I had no problem with the milk both my babies love milk.

I started off with 1/4 milk 3/4 formula...then 1/2 and 1/2...then 3/4 milk and 1/4 formula....this reason for this is not the taste but to make sure your child can tolerate the milk!! You should not start by just giving them a full bottle of milk!!

I believe I just switched - I was breastfeeding though. It wasn't a big deal. My children never refused. Only switch when your baby is over 12 mos old. Only use whole milk - children 1-5 yrs of age need the fat for good brain development.
I know you can do 1/2 and 1/2 - it might help with digestion. I don't think you need to do this for more than 1 week. Calling your baby's doctor's office would be a good idea. They might prefer you do 1/4 and 3/4 then 1/2 and 1/2 then 3/4 and 1/4 - for an easier transition. Check and see.

Formula and milk do not taste the same. My son was breastfed, and never had formula, but I never mixed the two milks together. I just gave him a little whole milk at a time and he seemed to like it. He was weaned at 14 months. If you are switching from formula to milk your child should be 12 months old, and you shouldn't be giving her milk in a bottle. It is time to move to a cup.

Well, I did a quarter milk rest formula. Then after a week I went to half and half Yes it is still going to taste like formula but the whole idea is figure out if they are allergic to milk and by adding the milk to formula it will not give the body such a shock and slowly get use to it

Yes, it's necessary but I only did it for about a week. The reason for mixing the two is so that the baby's digestive system gets used to the milk. If you go straight to milk from formula, your baby may have a hard time digesting it.

I have done a little bit of all of the above, if you have a family history that possibly indicate issue with dairy or food allergies, you might consider going slowly, but if not go as fast as your baby will let you. Milk's a little cheaper than formula........

I simply took my child off formula when it was time, and started her on regular milk!
She liked them both, and didn't complain!
