My 1st Boy had hiccups ALL the time. It is a constant... flicking feeling in the same place. Over and over and over... If you are far enough along and the baby has it's back pressed against your belly you can even see the belly jump a little. I was feeling it for weeks and finally at an OB appt the Doppler picked it up and I asked what it was. That is when I figured out it was hiccups. This one not so much. I have only felt the hiccups once. Trust me it can be very annoying if your baby does it often... LOL!

Aww my son hiccupped all the time and he still does! A hiccup will be continuous with the normal time lapse in between and you usually feel it all over (or at least I did) a kick will be sharper and not consistent. Trust me, you will know when they have the hiccups!

The kicks are more random. With the hiccups it feels the same as it does when you have hiccups.

A hiccup feels a bit like a steady heartbeat. It's not irregular like a kick. A kick can be anywhere in your tummy, can be sharp or soft, long or short, etc.
Hiccups are just steady little bumps.

I assume you mean in the womb. Kicks are normally a single movement. WHen they hiccup, it feels like he is kicking and punching at the same time, and I get a fast motion like ripples whenever he hiccups.

A kick is localized and often sharper, a hiccup is wide spread and softer. Both are normal.
