Her pediatrician said we'll have to consult with a neurosurgeon and discuss surgery to remove pieces of her skull before she is a year old, has anyone faced this before? What causes it and is this the only option? I know I should have asked the doctor but I was so stunned my mind went blank. She's overcome so much, she was born at 29 weeks and weighed 2lb 13oz and is now doing great only to be blindsided by a relatively rare condition that has nothing to do with her being early. Any ideas on how to help the husband cope too would be greatly appreciated.

I heard that when babies are born all they can really see is shadows unless you're right in front of their face. How long does it normally take till they can actually see. Also around what age do they start to talk?

Hi all, and congratulations on the birth of your bundle of joy! I'm 20 weeks pregnant and curious to hear your birth story. How did you know you were in labour, what was the first thing that happend when you arrived at the hospital or the midwife at your house, how long were you in labour for, what pain relief did you choose, how was your baby born and how did you and your partner feel when you first met your babe? How were the first few days home with your baby, was it what you expected?

I know it's a long question that requires long answers, but it would be great to hear your story!

Thanx!!

my husband and i would love to co-sleep with our son (whos due in 1 day!), we bought a first years co-sleeper for our bed, the only problem is we have a tiny bed...one down from queen...and the co-sleeper is huge! is it safe to just let your baby sleep in the same bed without some type of cosleeper thing? i just know im going to fall off the bed with this thing we have lol.

also no we dont have a crib yet...we're very adament on co-sleeping. and i know we should get a bigger bed, but unfortunetly we dont have the money for that right now.

So now I got Pampers .. they seem to work better! but he still had a blow out today.
My friend said to buy diapers in 1 size above his size. Does this work? or will they be too baggy in the leg????

It seems the guidelines are all over the place and they seem different than formula. Some sources say pitch an unfinished bottle, some (like Medela) say it is OK to put a partially used bottle of breast milk back in the fridge. What do you do? How long will you keep a bottle out and in use? When might you put it back in the fridge?

My son refuses to eat much of anything during the day. It's so frustrating! Today all he's eaten is a one egg omelet with half a slice of wheat toast, two graham crackers and a banana, along with about 10 oz of milk and it's already 5:30. I made him green beans and grilled chicken for lunch, which he usually loves, but he refused it. This has been going on for about a week. Should I speak to his pediatrician?
