Cows milk is one of the hardest things for our bodies to digest. I didn't give mine until 3yrs. I gave mine at the age soy milk. It is much easier for the body & it is better for them.

My daughter had a problem with cow's milk. She didn't seem to have any other symptoms than poop issues, but it was enough to make me stop giving it to her until she's older. What I saw was dark, dark greenish black poop, very tarry. I described it as meconium-ish poop. This kind of poop means there's upper-intestinal bleeding. I did an elimination diet, and sure enough, when I eliminated milk she was fine. She does fine with hard, cultured milk products like cheese and does ok with yoghurt, so I give her these in moderation & don't see any or as much of the poo problem.

So even if you don't see vomiting, you may want to check for other symptoms of a milk intolerance.

If it turns out you need to wait on milk, Rice Dream Original has a fortified rice milk with no sugar added. One of the problems with many of the soy, rice and nut milks is that they load 'em up with sugar.

Hope everything goes well with it!

because she is 1 yes you can start giving her cows milk.. you can do the 1/2 formula half milk.. just make sure its vitamin d milk or 2% that your giving her..if she doesnt do to well with it.. she probably will either throw it back up,get really fussy or refuse to drink it..

Its actually good that you did it this way, because it will give your child a better chance to adapt to it. When i did this - i used 1/2 water, then gradually reduced it. If she cant tolerate it, she'll get the runs

Vomitting, the runs, things like that.

She should be fine.
