My son is engineering IIIrd year student, average at studiest.He took birth during 1987 He was feeded with mother's milk only for three months, there after he refused for mothers milk. We tried but failed. He was feeded with cow milk after wards.Now His hight is about 175 centimeters. Our normal meals contain rice as it is major food item here and bread is added to it sometimes. We rarely eat buffalo meet.we eat mutton occasionally.He sometimes complains constipation. He cannot work too hard and get tired soon. He has to travel about 5 kilometers on his bike to college. It is only10 kilometers journey totally. When comes back from college he go to sleep at least for 2 to 3 hours. He is not able to spare sufficient time for his studies.His diet is normal in terms of quantity. He is facing difficulty to keep himself awake in the morning hours also. Even if he wakes up early by 5 then he will go to sleep again or if he tries to study he will be half sleeping.What is the remedy.

He's a 3rd year engineering student. He's stressed, and probably busy late at night doing other things.

Stress makes it difficult to sleep right.

Have his thyroid tested. I was the same way in college and never had a problem before. I would fall asleep at the wheel, it turned out to be a thyroid problem.

Increase his fresh fruits and veggies. Try B-12 vitamins for energy. Drink lots of water.

He might be staying up to late at night. You could have him go to the doctor and look into maybe showing signs of depression.

Sounds like depression to me. Does he smile? He may need some excitement, he sounds bored and depressed. THough it could also be drugs, though from what you are saying it doesn't that way. I say depression. Take him to a happy doctor!

Could be thyroid issues, best to have him see his physician and maybe get some labs drawn.
