well go by the expiration date...and if you have any questions about the actually formula call the company they always have a 1800 number to call if you have any questions regarding it. and i would think it would last longer being unopened...but thats just my guess...

Don't keep an unopened can of powdered formula past the expiration date on the bottom of the can. After the can is opened, throw away any unused amount after 1 month.

There should be an expiration date on it. Although, there was a lot of expired formula being sold in my city, and my sister had cases of it and didn't know until later, and my nephew was fine. But to be on the safe side, don't feed it to your baby if you can't find a expiration date.

No, I think the expiration date is for unopened cans. If you open it, you have to use it or throw it away within one month.

I would not risk my baby's health by using an expired can of formula. The vitamins diminish after a while.

Yes. Walmart and some discount stores got in trouble last year for selling expired stuff. One reason these stores can sell it cheaper, is because they buy it from other stores when its getting close to the date.
ive also seen walmart (things Ive bought) putting stickers with new expiration days over printed on dates - so watch out

i'm unsure approximately freezing it...ask your pediatrician. you are able to attempt the smaller cans of waiting made formulation in the experience that your feedings are that uncommon. it is greater high priced yet greater much less high priced than a $25 can of formulation you need to throw away after utilising basically 2 scoops!

It should say on the can. Similac is only good for one month after the can is opened.
