My baby is currently on breathing machine in the hospital, and doctors don't see her living long.(She has a very rare condition) They have all the breastmilk they could ever need for her from me right now so I am just pupming . My husband and I want to try and concieve in the future, but i'm afraid if i stop pumping, I won't be able to produce milk for another baby. At least, not as well as I have been.

I'm looking for baby names that would sound nice with the last name Smith. I want something unusual but not too crazy. Boy and girl names are both welcome. :)

Hello - I am new to this board and would truly value anyone's input on my issue. My 11 month old is extremely social & has great fine motor skills. She has no problems with her pincer grasp and can easily use her hands to transfer toys or hold on to me. She recognizes familiar faces and is very animated. Very early on, I noticed that she never liked tummy time and still does not. She had previously been referred for testing on her "loose" hips, but the test indicated that they were normal. I am extremely concerned that she does not crawl. Any ideas?
PS - She does not hold her bottle either. She can at times hold a sippy cup when she wants to. Thank you for any feedback you could give me.

Since my baby has been born he cries like he is terrified when ever I leave him alone, or place him from his bassinett to his crib. I thought it might be the mobile. But even today he did it again withme standing there with rubbing his head while in the crib. It frightens me because he could be laying there looking around, or sleeping and in an instant later his arm fly up and and he shrieks like someone is hurting him. He does it sometimes at night too sleeping in the bassinette. Does anyone know why he does this?

My son is 6 months old. He has been spitting up since birth. He will arch his back and stiffen his body, doing this when I lay him down to nurse. He wakes up frequently through the night crying. He also occasionally cries AFTER eating and he has NO interest in eating any baby food or cereal. Its getting to the point that we're afraid to take him anywhere or let anyone babysit because we don't know how he will act. He does have good days, but the bad outnumber the good. His pediatrician doesn't think anything is wrong with him because he is gaining weight well. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice would be appreciated, as we are very frustrated.

She told me that I should make up the bottles one by one not make them up in the morning and keep them in the fridge... however the first midwife told me to make them up in the morning with just the water in it and add the milk at each feed.. how many of you make up the bottles one by one and how many make them up and refridgerate them

it seems silly to me that at 2am i have to boil the kettle and wait 30 mins for it to cool before my lil man can eat!! (he's 11 days old and i have a 3yr old daughter that would be disturbed for 30 mins every night at 2am an 6am!!)

My son lately has not been going down to sleep as easily as usual. He used to just lay down and go to sleep. But lately as soon as I leave, or even when I'm there, he stands up in his crib and cries until I pick him up. He shows all the signals that he's tired. I don't normally have to rock him to sleep, he stopped that two months ago. I don't know what to do...

I am a nanny taking care of a 5 month old baby girl. She doesn't sleep through the night, and rarely sleeps for more than 20 minutes during the day. I am worried about her not sleeping, and have asked the parents if I can try implementing a sleep routine, but they told me that the baby knows how much sleep she needs, so they would rather she "tell" us when she's tired. I don't agree with this method, and I'd like to suggest something to the parents. Any suggestions on how to approach them, or other things I can do to help her "tell" me she is tired. (I think children are the ones that need "told" they are tired)

I'm having a garage sale here in a few weeks and I have a bunch of stuff to get rid of. I know toys and clothes sell, but what abotu shoes? My husband and I are having a slight disagreement on this. My youngest recieved a pair of Nike shoes for her birthdya last year, and ended up wearing them once. She had a growth spurt and went up to the next size. My husband thinks 50 cents is all they will be worth, but they look brand new. I said $2 wouldn't be really high and he thinks it will be. So, am I asking a good price? My other question, do baby shoes even sell at garage sales?
