I have an almost 1 year old who is happy and healthy but he hates eating his solid food if it contains any lumps that he has to chew on. He just spits them out. It cannot be because he is teething because he has been like it forever. I just find it sooo frustrating!!! I persisit but i just wondered if any body else had the problem and if you had any ideas. I couldbe sitting there for 45 mins with him crying everytime i put it in his mouth. Hee will eat his fruit or yoghurt afterwards (provided he has had enough of the other), so it definately a texture thing with him

I asked for advice about my mother and chose not disclose a few things but i feel it may be easier to advice me if i do. My exboyfriend, also my childs father, was very bad to me he beat me for 2 yrs. DSS or child protective services got involved. I only have my child a few hours a day and every other weekend. I love the park suggestions but because of the situation me and my daughter have to be supervised. I cant move until custody is granted back to me and that will happen in approximatly 3 monthes. But i do a appreciate the advice given so far and i hope this helps to explain a little bit. Oh yea my mom did not raise me my father did so i dont know about her parenting skills. Thanx loads

I will be going on a week long vacation with a 2.3 month old. I will have to take something she can sleep in and will need something portable but that i can also either fit in my suitcase or check through the airlines. What would I be better off with as I cant really tell the difference between a pack-n-play or portable bassinet.

My boyfriend and i are talking about marriage and children and im looking on theses forums things and alot of dicussion about breastfeeding. I would love to breastfeed but i just cant get that thought out of my head how gross it is. I mean to me i associate that with sex ( your man sucking on your nipples) to me its very sexual .. How do i get that out of my head in order to be able to breastfeed because its better for your baby... Are there other woman who have/had this issue??.... Im 20 by the way so please dont be harsh im just asking how do you stop taking that sexual and turn it into Providing for your child Thanks so much

My husband and I are considering getting pregnant this year and I would like to have an idea of how much we can expect to pay for day care. We would need it probably starting at 2months.

I have 6 bags of size 1 diapers that are not the brand I really like. It would kinda hard for me to have to drag all 6 bags and two small kids to the store to exchange them (hubby in iraq) should I just use them or go to the trouble to exchange them? Has anyone ever used the walmart store brand, white cloud, or luvs? Do they leak on girls?

My sister gave birth to a 2 lb. 10 oz. baby girl this weekend. She is doing great; breathing fine, drinking out of a bottle. No complications yet. The doctors say it's fine for the family (grandparents & siblings) to see her as long as she stays in the incubator and they all scrub in. Some of the family refuses to visit her because they say it will make her sick having people bringing germs in and they think the mother is also wrong for wanting visitors.

What do you think???

I love old names and I want to name my little girl after my grandmother, but bless her heart I dont want to give her a name that sounds terrible together. Her name would be Elisabeth Ruth Ceravolo. Thanks

Well we've all heard that giving birth is extremely painful. But I was wondering if having the second baby is more painful than having the first. Like for example, when you get a shot, it's better be relaxed than to clench your muscles and teeth because then the needle will have a harder time going through you skin (well that's what I've heard). Is it the same in this case? You've already experienced how horribly painful it was the first time, will you spend months dreading the second? Or will the baby come out quicker than the first (I heard that a lot also).

I'm 9 weeks postpartum with my second child, I stopped having lochia 6 weeks ago so I know this is my period. After my first child was born my cramps nearly disappeared and my periods were much shorter. A couple days ago I started having debilitating cramps, my period started yesterday and is really heavy (I went through 3 pads just overnight). Has anyone else experienced their period changing so dramatically after childbirth, and did it return to normal? Oh, and my birth was a second c-section.
