Yes you can. I lost my baby when she was five months and we claimed her on our taxes. We went to H&R Block to have them done and they said yes we could, even if she was only alive for 24 hours we could have claimed her.

Yes, you can claim your baby. As long as it breathed a breath of life, the doctor has to give you a birth certificate, which gives you the right to claim the baby for taxes, however, you must also have a death certificate and possibly some other documents that a professional tax preparer can tell you about.

I'm not sure on an answer for you but there is a board under finances that has tax preparers answering questions all the time. Try posting this over there to see what they say. I'd include the state you're in too.

If you mean claim as in get the money you get for having a baby like the lump sum payment then yes you can

if the baby was past 20 weeks old or weighed more than i think 25grams? something like that

I believe that ur child would have to been living in ur household for 6 months in order to claim him or her. Call IRS or Hand R block they can give u a definate answer to that
