How old is she?

If she is within a few months old, I would immediatly think possible reflux. It's a common problem in babies. There is such a thing as silent reflux as well. Which still involves the acid coming up in their throat, but they do not spit up that much. Either way, it makes their throat sore, and they will be very fussy during and after eating. If this is possible, go see your pedi and discuss methods and possible meds to help her with the pain.

If she is older and/or does not have reflux, then does she have a stuffy nose or sore throat? Or both? Stuffy nose, I would suggest using saline drops and suction. Sore throat, she may do well with some infants tylanol. Either way, call the pedi to double check.

If neither of those work, then she could have tummy upset/ gas, and mistaking it for hunger. However, when she goes to eat, it just upsets her tummy more. With that, maybe try mylicon or gripe water.

Also, if she is newly born and your breastfeeding, how is your flow? If it comes out too fast in the beginning. Try hand expressing or pumping a little before feeding her. If your milk is starting out too fast for her, she will get frustrated and fuss.

Hope this helps and she starts feeling better soon.

Probably gas. Try to burping her -pat her back starting from the bottom and pat up her back for a few minutes. Also, give her some Mylicon for Infants. This stuff really works. It helps stimulate her appetite, and my baby even loves the taste of it. I give it to her right before I give her the bottle to prevent gas. Just give her the recommended amount, though.
(get the dye free Mylicon.. saves laundry)

Does she scream when you lay her down too? She might have an earache then. Make an appointment with her doctor ASAP. If she's just having an issue with her bottle, she might be teething. Try a little Tylenol about 20 minutes before you feed her.

Could be gas... try burping her... or there was this really cool product that was drops that really helped... urg I forget the name... oh... looked it up it was mylicon... great stuff...

if it is gas... try moving her legs around like she is riding a bycicle... or pump her like a little water well... sometimes they have time pushing gas out the other end... and this helps... (assuming newborn)...

Just read the other answer that came in while I was typing ... the ear infection one is great... sucking would make the ear hurt... watch for grabing of the ears... that would help indicate that...

No, you should no longer merely enable it bypass. Your infant needs the nutrition from formula at this age and he or she needs a minimum of 24 oz.. of it in a 24 hour era. If she's no longer getting that then she's no longer getting what she needs. end the solids all jointly for now. they are for practice, no longer a source of nutrition, so it received't damage her by technique of forestalling them. See if that facilitates improve her formula intake. If no longer then communicate consisting of her healthcare specialist. If her formula intake does improve to the position it will be then slowly reintroduce the strong ingredients(i.e. one meal/day for some weeks etc from there).

How old is she? She might be teething. I got started teething at 3 months. My daughter is 2 months and does the same thing that your baby does. Also, you might need to poke a hole in the nipple so she can get the milk easier.

was your baby breastfed first? if so, have you tried a different type of nipple? there are so many different kinds out there. when i started pumping milk for the time i was away at work, we went through 3 different kinds of nipples with my five month old before we found one she was okay with, and even that took some transition time. it's a big adjustment for them. they are naturally soothed by the breast. she also still wont take her pacifier, and thats ok! some babes just don't like em.

maybe gas... try putting her over your knees on her tummy and rubbing her back to burp her.

She may have a sore throat or ear ache.. check for fever and a red, raw throat, if you can see in there...

Or she may just have colic. Some babies are just more fussy than others.

PLease consult a live person near you...someone with lots of baby expereince or if she has a fever, call the Dr.

Don't forget the stomach flu virus going around. My whole family just went through it including my baby niece. She didn't want to drink anything and vomited. Is your baby vomiting?
It can also be her teeth like said before

Try breastfeeding her when she's sleepy, at bed time, then surreptitiously give her the bottle instead. This has a chance of going unnoticed. We tried that, and it kind of worked.
