I actually asked this question a couple of months ago. I had the same thing. I wasn't sure if it was normal and was also concerned that I would forever be like that every month. The next period will be my fourth and they are getting better, gradually. They are shorter every month and not as heavy. It is such a pain. I almost felt like I was back in recovery when I got it the first time.

Based on when you got your period and when you had sex with your boyfriend, in addition to the age of the baby on August 16th, this baby is your boyfriend's. There is only a two day discrepancy with back dating your period. Babies are not like clockwork. It sounds like you are driving yourself nuts over a 48 hour time frame, nothing compared to if it were the other guys baby, the baby would have been older by over two weeks if it was the other boy's baby. What a shame that some kid got your pregnant after only knowing you for a few days. Poor guy.

After my first one, my period was lighter at first, then gradually returned to how they had been. After the second baby, it was very, very heavy for the next 3-4 periods, and then they finally got back to normal. Now, they are exactly as they were before. Hang in there!

My periods have been extremely heavy since I had my first. I go through a tampon an hour during the first day. So I use pads and tampons.
I got my period back at 6 months and have had 5 or 6 since and they have all been the same. Mine was a natural birth.

My first few periods after each birth were very heavy and with bad cramps. Reminded me of the first periods I ever had as a teenager. My cycles were also irregular lengths.....some as long as 55 days.....until they would finally fall into a predictable pattern after a few months. They are not as bad now. Shorter....usually a day of spotting, 2 heavy days and a couple of days of lighter flow.

Mine got much heavier and my cramps were horriable. Felt like i was in early labor every month! After my 2nd i got an IUD put in and 4 months later i dont have a period anymore!! YAY! Getting an IUD is an excellent option of birth control with great benifits. Both my birth were vaginal so i dont think haveing a c-section made it worse. Hope this helps

Since I had my son, my periods have gotten much stronger. When I was on the pill they were still strong (also longer (7-8 days) but the cramping was mild.
Now we are TTC baby number 2 so I went off the pill.. now I also have heavy cramping everytime.
