I have 6 bags of size 1 diapers that are not the brand I really like. It would kinda hard for me to have to drag all 6 bags and two small kids to the store to exchange them (hubby in iraq) should I just use them or go to the trouble to exchange them? Has anyone ever used the walmart store brand, white cloud, or luvs? Do they leak on girls?

Why does everyone keep saying I won't go through that many bags of diapers? We have already went through 6 or more bags of size 1. And I'm sure we will go through at least most of the other 6 bags. I change my baby OFTEN so she don't get diaper rash. I guess some people don't. By the way my baby was 7 lbs 10 oz

My daughter was 7 lbs 13 oz, and we've used White Cloud and Target store brand since we ran out of the Huggies and Pampers we got from the hospital. Pampers made her break out in horrible diaper rash (this was according to the resident pediatrician).

I too, have gone through at least 6 bags of size 1 diapers, and my girl is only half of the way through the 8-14 lb. level. Her diapers have never leaked urine, although she's had a few bowel movements that have overflowed the side barriers or went up her back because she was being held in a strange position.

Fortunately, my husband always seems to be the one holding her when that happens! :)

Another suggestion-- give them to a friend or ask if any other wives of soldiers at your base could use them.

Hope your hubby returns safe and sound to enjoy changing baby diapers with you!

Use them, why go through the trouble of returning them? I've found they work just as well as most of the major brands - maybe not on big 2 year olds for overnights - but with a newborn you're going to be changing the diaper 8-10 times a day anyway so why not use them?

They do grow out of the size 1s quickly, especially if you have a big 8+ pound baby but if you have a petite baby of 7 lbs or less, you'll be able to use up the 6 bags, no problem

First off babies as I'm sure you know it seems like you are a veteran go through on average 12 diapers a day or more so 6 bags of diapers that seems like you and who gave them to you are being smart. And most size ones go up to 14lbs so she still has about 6-7 pounds to go. Now I'm currently pregnant and its my personal choice and some will disagree but I refuse to buy Luvs they are in my opinion the absolute worst diapers not just for boys but with boys they leak so much and from friends experiences they leak on girls too. The WalMart brand I have never tried with my nephew me and my ex husband ( ex husband of about two years or so more now so not my babies father) we always used either Huggies or Pampers. Now that I'm expecting my cousin has told me that Pampers Swaddlers are the absolute best diapers there are and she picked me up a pack of 88 size 1's too lol, that and I have two 50 count things of Huggies size ones and only got one package of Newborn umbilical ones. But either way if you have the receipt and dont want to chance switching to something new or testing and ending up with loads of laundry then return them and get what you prefer and trust or if you dont and want to test them then save the receipt and try to make sure you dont open all of the bags of diapers at once so you can return them later that and if she goes through a growth spurt. =] Congratulations

I am a new mommy and I really like luvs diapers. As for store brand diapers, I've only used HEB brand and I like them. I don't know about white cloud. Don't get the ones from Toys r us that are generic they are very cheap as far as materials go. Maybe they tell you that you will not need that many diapers is because babies grow so fast maybe your baby will grow out of them. Maybe just try one bag and see if you like them. If not, you could make a diaper cake for someone who's having a baby for a great shower gift!

Sounds like you have your hands full. I haven't tried the Wal-mart brand, but my sitter friend does, and now so do the kids that go to her. They seem to love them. I have used luvs for my daughter, now in a size 2. I liked them, and they didn't leak. I think the kept her drier then the huggies I use, but the huggies are cut slimmer around the legs which I like very much. The only concern I really see, is that changes brands on a baby can cause a rash. IF you really like the ones your using, I exchange them! OH and I have 3 so I know what a pain it is!!

Having gotten them for free, its a great opportunity to try a new brand. You may find that the inexpensive brand works better on your child. Luvs worked well for us, though we didn't like that the sides don't stretch like Huggies. Everytime my husband would go to Walmart he'd have to buy a White Cloud from the vending machine in the bathroom (he always insisted he didn't need the diaper bag because he was going to be FAST) and they also worked fine. In size 1 you change them all the time anyways so you'll go through them quickly.

Personally I only used one bag of size one diapers, then I needed size two so I still have a couple of bags stashed away for the next baby.

I've used two store brands (both canadian) one was good but the wrong shape (made for skinnier babies, not my rolly polly, so I had to roll the waist down twice *lol* but they absorbed well.) The other SUCKED.

Do you have any family or friends you can sucker into exchanging them for some size 2 or 3's of a brand you like? That way it will look more like you are concerned about the size, not the brand.

ok...i wouldnt go through the trouble of exchanging. Use what youve got. If you really dont like the brand you got, then by all means, exchange. But most diapers are the same, so I wouldnt worry about it. Im the 2nd of 8 kids and ive had my share of diaper changing. In my experience, boys tend to leak more, so again, i wouldnt worry about it.

Your maximum in all probability guess must be an change at Walmart. i recognize purpose resources a complicated time anymore, their go back/change coverage has gotten extremely problematical. you should also try the community food market. and that i ought to easily be straightforward. Say "I were given too many new child diapers at my infant bathe and that i ought to go with to interchange them for a length 2 (or 3 or 4)" i'd not factor out that you do not recognize the position they're from. you should also have luck at somewhat ones R Us, once you've one locally. they're going to comprehend the situations properly. I have under no circumstances had a complicated time returning un-opened packs of diapers for a larger length.
