Suppose my name were Jamie and I had a daughter named Jamie. Would she be named Jamie Junior? Legally, not just a nickname.

It seems like so many people sleep with their baby b/c "it's easier to nurse that way" I nursed and I didn't sleep with my baby. I know 2 different people who suffocated their baby by sleeping with them. That was enough to scare me away from it...not to mention the drs and specialists telling me how dangerous it is. So why is it that people continue to do it knowing that it's dangerous? How would you feel if your baby died of SIDS? Does anyone else know of this happening to someone they know?

Is there a certain age that you should wait until to give your baby foods or liquids that are cold?

Our dr has switched her to Smiliac Isomil lactose free. Which has helped with her gas. Now we are having a problem with her not getting full off of it. Everyone tells me to put some rice cereal in her bottle but dr says we should wait till she at least 8 weeks. Is there anything that helps? has anyone started baby on this so early. She is not sleeping through the night because of this.

I had my daughter a month ago and I stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks ago.

I had the "normal" lochia for 2 weeks and it acted just like my period normally would. It stopped completely for about 3 days and then I had a day of very light bleeding, much like what you would get the first day of a period right before it would become heavy. It lasted only for that day and stopped. Very light.

Now, its been 10 days since that and again I notice that I have a bit of dark blood again but this only lasted for a couple of hours and went away.

Is this normal??

Its been more then spitting up almost like vomiting up (even an hour or two after her feeding) we are switching her from enfamil lactosefree to enfamil prosobee started her on it slowly today..did this work for you?? Or did enfamil A R work for you? And if you had to switch - which one out of the two worked for you?? And does it usually take 2 weeks before you can tell a difference once you change formulas???

We are in an age where MASSES of people are trying to be unique, but since everyone does it, there's nothing unique about it. For instance trying to spell their child's name as wierd and off the wall as possible. All this does is cause the child to go the rest of their life having to spell out their name and have it mispronounced.

How many times did your baby get sick in the first year? What kind of things did he/she get sick from? I'm a new mom and we have, by the grace of God, not gotten anything. I'm just curious since we are about to go through the cold and flu season.

Are those things really safe? I mean I've seen infants in those things and it looks like they could just lean a little to the side and flip out onto the floor! How can those things be safe?

My four month old has his first cold and I know this sounds horrible but he's driving me crazy... So whiney and he woke up 3 times last night when he's been sleeping through the night forever... and he won't let me use that blue squirty thing to get the snot out of his nose. I gave him tynol but it doesn't seem to be working... Any suggestions? How long will this last? How can I help him? Should I take him to the doctors? It seems like a regular cold though...
