I tried giving my son cold fluids when he was about 6 months old, but he didn't like it very much. I started giving him juice from the fridge, diluted with warm water, and he accepted this. I don't believe there's any certain age that you can start giving them cold stuff...it's basically up to the child. Most children will reject cold things at first, since they're so used to having warm milk. My son STILL won't drink his milk cold, even if he drinks everything else cold, and he's 19 months old!

Anything your baby drinks should be room temp.. It was on the local news in Vegas a few weeks ago... If it is too cold it can actually send the babies body into schock. Be careful!! And make sure when giving juices you put atleast half water.. It really isnt good to give juice in a bottle because the sugars settles on the teeth.. So make sure you brush their teeth if they have any..

I get the juice out of the fridge and then I dilute it with about 3/4 of lukewarm water. I don't think there is a certain age...but I'm not a doctor and don't know for sure.

I was told that cold juice could cause a stomach ache- so it was warm or room temp. I think the warmess thing is to simulate mothers milk temperature. Also soothing for warm full belly...:)

my son HATES cold, i even warm the juice up a little for him. Try serving it room temperature first and see what your baby can tollerate. :)

Babies don't need juice, it's primarily sugar. Water or milk to drink is preferable. Cold or warm is based on personal preference. Don't leave foods or beverages unrefridgerated too long otherwise dangerous bacteria will build.

remember, I am NOT the pediatrician, but my daughter is. She won't even let her 3 year old have fruit juice because of the sugar in it. She lets him have that flavored water......It certainly didn't hurt mine 36 years ago, but what do I know.. but she does let her breast fed baby have table food all the time....

I did both but it's best to give at room temperature,so you won't upset the baby's stomach.
