I had my daughter a month ago and I stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks ago.

I had the "normal" lochia for 2 weeks and it acted just like my period normally would. It stopped completely for about 3 days and then I had a day of very light bleeding, much like what you would get the first day of a period right before it would become heavy. It lasted only for that day and stopped. Very light.

Now, its been 10 days since that and again I notice that I have a bit of dark blood again but this only lasted for a couple of hours and went away.

Is this normal??

It takes a while to menstrate back on track. I bleed for about 7 weeks after one pregnancy!

I think that's pretty normal. I would only be concerned if the lochia smelled funky or you had blood clots, or were bleeding longer than 7 or 8 weeks after the baby's birth.

yes, it will come and go. as long as you don't have heavy bleeding I wouldn't worry about it...with my first, I didn't stop bleeding for 6 weeks! So you're lucky that it is not lasting that long. It's your bodies way of cleansing everything out, and sometimes it takes a while for your body to get back to normal. Talk to your ob if you are concerned, but I'm sure its normal for you!

SOMETIMES IT TAKES A WHILE FOR YOUR REGULAR PERIOD TO COME. SO JUST BE PATIENT AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT HAVING EXCESSIVE HEAVY BLEEDING.
