I would avoid using the name Leah and pronouncing it Lee, because it is a biblical name traditionally pronounced "lee-uh." It would bee too confusing. If you want a different spelling for Lee, stick with Leigh.
I like checking the SSA's website for popular baby names... and I start from the least popular and work my way up! I use the top 1000 list. I try to avoid anything in the top 100. Once you get to the last 500 or so names, they are pretty unique names.
