Now that he is older I was wondering if I could switch him to the Enfimal brand of formula that has the rice cereal in it? Please don't ask me to see his doctor, because I'm currently looking for a new one. I have switched his formula many times, so I know what can happen. He is currently on the Enfimal Gentle Ease. My son is also five months old.

I just want to start getting him used to one, because I read that it is easier for the baby later on to get rid of the bottle when the baby turns one.

We've gone through cereals, veggies and fruits, now we're onto the meat...and he took one bite out of it and gagged a few times, so let's say that was the end of that..and wouldn't eat his veggies because he thought I was trying meat again. It is soo disgusting....even when I tested the temp. on my lips I almost gagged too. Do any of you wonderful mother's out there have any suggestions on how to make this process a yummy one for him ?

I just bought a baby sling from e-bay, but there are no instructions on how you wear it. I know it should be self explanitory, but I am a tad confused. Thanks so much!

My cousin had a C-section 3 days ago at almost 8 months pregnant. Her baby was getting to large and was causing her lots of pain. The baby was also pushing down on her bladder and the doctor said it could rupture it at any minute. So they made the choice to operate. When they delivered the baby they noticed she was not breathing normally. Come to find out one of her little lungs did not fully develop. She was put on a respirator which was the only thing keeping her alive at that moment. The doctor said there was nothing they could do that it would be better to take her off the respirator and she past away moments later. My question is could the doctors have detected the baby was not breathing normally while pregnant? It would've prepared my cousin for this.

Her baby was almost 9 pounds and very beautiful. She looked very healthy, but apparantely she wasn't.

Because of my constant fear of sids since my baby was born, she slept in a bassinette from birth till recently and then I let her sleep in our bed from 5 months till now that shes 6 months old.I know I will get a lot of heat for this, doctors strongly advise against it. but Im NOT recomending this to anybody but have to say in my case its been a positive experience, she sleeps straight through the night from 9 pm to 7 am non stop and so do I.Down side is were trying to wean her in her crib and she wont sleep in it. My husband is annoyed because he has a friend who did the same and their boy is now 2 years old and still sleeping in the same bad with the parent and fears our daughter will end up doing the same.Anybody going through this?

My 3 month old goes to daycare Mon/Wed/Fri's and is given expressed breast milk. I use Dr. Brown's bottles, but my daycare provider suggested a different type of nipple, as sometimes he doesn't seem very interested. Any suggestions welcome! btw, he nurses excellent, so that's not an issue :-)

There was just a mother arrested in MA I believe for taking her 4 month old baby and hitting her boyfriend with the baby. She swung the baby at him and hit him several times after an arguement. The baby had multiple injuries. I surely hope she doesn't get her baby back! That's so awful. Sigh, then you have so many good people out there who try so hard and can't have babies. What a world!

I have a 16week old daughter who was just beginning to sleep through then the teething started, since then she goes down between 7-9pm wakes up between 3-4am for a feed then sleeps till usually between 9-10am, I am both breastfeeding and bottle feeding, which suits both me and her fine that is the way I have did it since she was 8weeks old, but should she be sleeping through even though she is sometimes sleeping from 7pm till 10am only waking for sometimes 10mins for a feed and going back to sleep, am i expecting too much for her to sleep right through? and if not what should i do to try help her sleep through?

I posted a question last night about giving a baby juice cold or room temp. I should have been more specific. I bought the Gerber baby juice. So it's not like adult juice. If you give this baby juice to your baby do you add water to it??
Thanks for all the answers last night, and thanks in advance for today's answers. :-)

I don't think my daughter feels pain, or at least not much. She doesn't cry when she gets shots or blood drawn. She recently got teeth and has been biting her tongue and lip to the point of making it bleed. She doesn't cry when she does this, I just look and there is blood running out of her mouth. She is 11 months old. The is a thing called CIPA. Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis. It involves the inability to feel pain, inability to sweat, inability to control temperature along with several other things. My daughter does not sweat. She does not control her temperature either. Does anyone else have these expierences?

I have a 6 week old baby who is never satisfied with her bottle anymore! She was full term and was 6 pounds when she was born she is now 9 pounds. She was sleepying for at least 5 hours a night. I have increased her formula to 6oz and when she is done she is still sucking and crying! How much more should I give her. And I would really like to sleep at night instead of getting up every 3 hours to feed. Anyone know any trick to get her to sleep longer.
