Some babies go through spurts like this but as long as they're taking in SOMETHING then they should be okay unless it goes on for too very long. Try buying those Gerber biscuits because it may be because he is teething that he doesn't want to eat. It's okay though I'm sure! Just make sure he's still drinking enough to urinate so you know he's not dehydrating!

I have twin girls. This is their daily routine:

7:45 or 8:30 8 oz of formula milk
8:45 or 9:00 Nap #1
10:30 Walk
11:00 or 11:15 Oatmeal w/Stage #3 Fruit added
12:30 or 1:00 Nap #2
2:00 Yo Baby Yogurt snack
3:30 or 4:00 Nap #3
5:15 or 5:30 Stage #3 Meal(meat and or veggies and fruit or dessert)
8:30 or 9:00 8oz of formula milk
BEDTIME!!

This does not always work out this way, but we stay pretty close to it...especially if we are out and about, this schedule will change...

Hope this has helped you.. :-)

My baby girl is 10 months old and here is her schedule:

Wake 7:00 and 7-8 oz bottle (expressed breastmilk)

Nap 8:30-10:30
snack - fruit or veggie puffs
11:30 7 oz bottle
12:30 lunch - a meat and veggie and fruit, although sometimes she doesnt eat much of it
1:00 nap
2:30 7 oz bottle
4:30 snack
5:30 bottle
6:30 dinner
8:30 bottle
bed

That is about it. She eats more breastmilk than solids at this point still. All babies are different. My nephew is 11 months and cant stand any solid foods and is only on formula.

Try not to worry about it. I know it's stressful when your baby won't eat, but if you speak to your health professional, they'll reassure you that a baby will not starve itself. He may be under the weather, or it may be that he just doesn't need as much food any more as he used to - by age one they will have done I believe almost half of the growing that they have to do, and so will naturally need less food, especially if they're not fully active yet.

If you're still worried that he's not getting enough, take him to the health visitor to be weighed, maybe once a month. Your health visitor will be able to show you exactly where on the growth chart he is, which will hopefully be able to show you that everything is fine. Often just talking to the health visitor will help to calm your fears, because the more worried you are about it, the more baby will pick up on it.

Please try not to blame yourself - you aren't doing anything wrong. As long as you're still offering him the food and making sure it's good food, then you're doing what you can as a parent and he'll eat when he's ready. But really, your health visitor will be able to reassure you that there's nothing wrong, and if there is anything that needs addressing, they'll be able to help you with that as well.

My baby is 8 months old and this is her routine. Morning bottle, nap 10-1 sometimes earlier. I get her up then she eats baby food (#2) a veg. and a meat and she eats it all. Sometimes a bottle about 6oz. at 5 or so. Then I give her a cookie while we eat our dinner. After that I feed her cereal (baby rice) with a half container of fruit about 4 tablespoons of rice cereal. I mix the fruit with her rice. And that is about 7:30 - 8 oclock. About an hour after that she goes to sleep. Sometimes she wants a bottle and I will give her about 4oz. and that's it. Do you have your baby no a routine? Does he know when to eat, sleep, and playtime? It's so much easy when they know what to expect. Good luck and happy parenting.

think of a baby as a tiny adult. Do you have off days or even weeks where you dont eat as much?

All babies go through this at some point. He will let you know when he is hungry I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Good luck

my son has weetabix for breakfast, meat veg and pasta for dinner and whatever the family have for tea!

i wouldnt worry to much about him not eating as he may be teething or have a bug!
try letting him eat finger foods on a blanket on the floor with some of his favourite toys, if you leave your baby to wonder around and eat then he will probably eat more.
babies get bored easily and will see eating as a chore, they spend ages sat in their high chairs when the whole world(your sitting room!) needs to be explored!
this was the only thing that made my son eat when he went off his food, any way your son will eat when he is hungary!

Babies go through these phases, I know this is not much comfort at the moment just keep offering them the choices as usual and eventually a routine is established.

My 22month old daughter usually eats pancakes or cereal bars or cereal for breakfast, she has a mid morning snack of some type of cereal or animal crackers. Lunch at 11am is chicken nuggets or lunchmeat or hotdogs, mid afternoon snack is goldfish usually then dinner she'll eat whatever we're having for dinner and then fruitsnacks for a bedtime snack.
