My 3 month old goes to daycare Mon/Wed/Fri's and is given expressed breast milk. I use Dr. Brown's bottles, but my daycare provider suggested a different type of nipple, as sometimes he doesn't seem very interested. Any suggestions welcome! btw, he nurses excellent, so that's not an issue :-)

When I breastfed and had to supplement a bottle, I usually used Gerber. The pediatrician said to use one that most resembled my nipple. She also said to remember that natural nipples flatten out so to get one that does that. I tried several with her refusing all of them until I found the Gerber ones.

Good luck!!

I think the Dr. Brown ones are great. When my son was younger these bottles were the best for his stomach. The number two bottle that worked ok was the Playtex Nursers. If your baby has gas issues do not buy the Avent bottles. Go to www.epinions.com and you can look up all of these bottles on there and get peoples reviews.

Avoid Avent nipples they're not all that close to the nipple. I personally reccomend the Gerber bottles. They get an incredible latch. Playtex disposables are specificly made for breastfed babies, and they worked well for me. Both are relativly cheap, and the baby always had less gas than when I used the Avents. Good luck!

When I was breastfeeding we used Playtex Avance bottles when feeding expressed breast milk. The bottle nipple is designed to be shaped like a real nipple (it has the raised bumps on it like a real nipple) The bottle is a curved to promote feeding in a more upright position and it has a vent at the bottom to reduce air/bubbles which can cause gas.
It seemed to work well and my twins never had nipple confusion.

I didnt breastfeed my daughter, however when i worked in child care, all infants in my class who were fed expressed breast milk were on avent bottles. They seemed to work nicely for the children. Also the playtex nurser ones are more rounded and breast shaped.

Avent. That's what my breastfed baby used at daycare. The Avent bottles even advertise that they are specially designed for breastfed babies to use.

Maybe use something that resembles your own nipples....they make all different shapes of nipples for bottles.
