Congratulations on being pregnant! You may find the second trimester a great time for organising things you need for baby. Good on you for checking out some answers on Yahoo.

There is a huge range of how much nappies will cost. I think the above ladies have given you a good rough estimate. It might be worth checking out your local shop because prices can change between shops and also between brands.

You may like to try a few different brands in the first few weeks to see which ones you like best and which ones suit your baby best. Different brands are shaped differently and may fit your baby better or worse. Also, they have more or less absorbancy than each other. Different babies get different reactions with different nappies.

Every baby excretes differently too! My first 2 were very wet and pooey babies who needed changing (and bathing) often. My last 2 only had 6 nappy changes a day (with feeds) for the first 3 months because they only pooed once a week!

Here's hoping you get an easy baby. Good luck!

Start stocking up on some diapers now. Buy a few different brands of diapers. Everyone is has a different idea of what a good brand of diaper is. I have had really good luck with the Target Brand diapers. You can get a small pack of them for around $6.00 or less. Once you find the brand that you like they are usually cheaper if you buy in bulk. Buy them by the box. Don't buy that many newborn diapers, because your baby will grow out of them to fast, unless you have a small baby. You could also sign up with the major diaper company's and they usually send you sample diapers which is cool also.

Pampers are the best diapers - bottoms down! You can get them at Costco for about $25 a box which can last you two weeks easy! Plus if you sign up at papmers.com, they send you great coupons often! Sometimes for up to $5 off! The Pampers Cruisers are the only diaper I will ever use on my kids! The Swaddlers are great too! Worth the extra money for a high quality diaper that does not leak!

i would say for a newborn probably $20 a week. they go through alot of diapers in the beginning. so for a month roughly $80. you can go on www.huggies.com and enter to get coupons in the mail. our favorite diapers are huggies, because they seem to fit our almost 2 year old so well, but honestly in the beginning they go thru so many diapers, it makes sense to buy a cheaper brand like Luvs or White Cloud at Wal-Mart. i am on baby #7 and have been thru lots and lots of diapers!! (THe Luvs and White Cloud didn't seem to irritate, but the really really cheap ones do!)

At age 22 months, i am buying one case of diapers every two weeks... that is about $20 a case so $40 a month. Plus the expense of wipes ($9.99 a case at BJ's lasts a bit over a month).

My suggestion...until your baby is mobile use store brand diapers. THey are cheaper. Then when your baby is mobile use the trusted brand of your choice (i chose pampers cruisers).

Congrats and good luck!

In the beginning you will probably change from 6-8 or 8-10 diapers a day.......
go to the store and look at the prices.

Swaddler diapers you will only use for the first week then you move to the Size 1 diapers.......

You change alot of diapers when they are newborns...and since they are so sensitive you shouldnt buy the generic diapers. I am guesstimating anywhere between $60-$80/ month. That is about a pack of diapers a week. Good Luck. I hope im accurate.

Depends on what brand you buy.... when my son was first born (he's now 6 months old), I only bought Huggies Supreme Newborn and spent probably around $80/mo -- now though, I buy bulk diapers at Target (which are pretty decent) and spend around $30. Good Luck!

I spend about 60 dollers a month on diapers.
That is for pampers swaddlers from walmart. That isnt to expensive, and they work great. I would be careful not to buy the cheapest diapes out there because they may be a huge waste of money.
