A couple nights ago my baby was in his crib sleeping (I had thought), and started making an awful gagging sound! I ran to check on him and he had his fingers in his mouth and was choking! Why didn't he take out his fingers?? He's 3 mths now, so he's in that stage where he likes playing with his hands.

My sister in law is due to give birth to her first child in a couple of weeks, what can my b/f and I do to help the new parents? Obviously the baby will be too young for us to look after it for a while. What was the one thing you wished you had help with when you had your new baby?

I have a 17 month old daughter. She now knows her nose, hair, eyes, mouth, ears, belly button, foot, hand and fingers. Is this normal, or is she learning quickly? She is not talking, but she does babble a lot. But she can point to every one of those body parts.

Alright, so here's the thing. My husband is away training in the Army. We have a 7 month old daughter that I have been taking care of by myself for five months of her life! I have not had a day to myself or even more than an hour since she was born.
I have had to stay with my parents for a while now. They don't seem to care that I am exhausted and trying to get my daughter to sleep. They make a bunch of noise and act like I'm crazy for asking them to quiet down for ten minutes!
Since she has become more mobile I find myself being so worn out all the time! Between all the feeding and baths and playtime and diaper changes, I also take her for at least an hour long walk every day. That is the only thing I get to do for myself so I enjoy it also.
I only have another month or so before my husband will be home. But what can I do to make it?! I feel like I'm at the end of my rope and family doesn't care! The only one that cares is my dear husband but I never let him know how tired I am.

My son had two teeth by 6 month so started teething around 5 cause he got them at the same time, my little sisters baby is 2 months and is very cranky shewing on her fist and slobbery but the most of it she looks like she has a tiny tooth broke through, but I didnt know you can get teeth that early, it isnt a milk tooth cause it just appeared noticed today I think.

I am starting a new job at a day care thursday and i have mixed feelings. My daughter is 7 months old and i have been a stay at home mom. I spend 27-7 w/ her and i absolutly love it. Im scared we are going to loose the close bond we have from being togather all the time. Im scared she wont like it there or i wont be able to spend time w/ her. Am i just being stupid and or is this normal for a first time mother and what have you done in similar situations to calm fears?

when you become a `parent' do you stop being the person who you were; I mean, because your child/children see you ONLY as a parent; does that mean you lose the essential person that you were before you had children?

Ok here is the thing,i just found out my son is very alergic to milk and soy,i am breastfeeding and bottle feeding.
But to keep breastfeeding i would have to cut all milk and soy out of my diet.
i was just wondering how many of you think you could do it.
because i dont know if i can :(

Why do i always think the worst? My doc. found a small trace amount of blood in 4 month son's urine and said its most likely nothing- i can't relax and am constantly thinking that i am going to lose my son... i do this all the time, is it just being a new mom or do i really have a problem? No jokes please...

Pediatrician said that there was a slight trace of blood in my son's urine (only seen by a microscope) and he was going to take an ultra-sound to be sure, but he said he thinks nothing is wrong b/c my son isn't sick. Could this be dangerous or even fatal? or am i over reacting as a new mom? Anyone else's kids have this?
