Why do i always think the worst? My doc. found a small trace amount of blood in 4 month son's urine and said its most likely nothing- i can't relax and am constantly thinking that i am going to lose my son... i do this all the time, is it just being a new mom or do i really have a problem? No jokes please...

This is most likely anxiety that you will probably always deal with. When they get about 2 years old, My anxiety lightened up,but you will always have this maternal instinct. On the other hand, the doctor has seen these things countless times, and I have learned from my pediatrician that when they say, dont worry, they mean,really...dont worry.Hope this helped.Always seek the advice of experienced mothers, they really do have good advice.Chances are, theyve been through your problem already at some point.

I dont think you can ever be to careful when dealing with your child. You should always overreact when it comes to kids! I am a mother of 3, and I still worry. I was at a drs appointment with my youngest son when he was about 6 weeks old. It was just a normal check up and I thought nothing of it until the dr said that it seemed like the baby had a heart murmur. I almost died! I was horrified and scared and ready to cry. The dr said it was probably nothing and that sometimes it happens in babies and it goes away. So at his next appt the dr said he was fine, and it wasnt until then that I stopped worrying

All new mothers feel the same way as you do. I have two adult girls who drive me nuts with worries. Do you also worry alot about your own health problems? If you do it can be OCD. If you find that almost your entire day is full of worries about health or other matters then it can be possibly OCD. And in that case do see a doctor. But, its very normal for mothers to worry about their children.

Alot of 1st time moms overreact. You will get over it in time. You are always going to worry, but that is your mothers instinct. I wish all mothers cared for the babies the same. I sure your baby will be fine. He prob has a urinary tract infection. Good luck!!!

jokes aside, i think you might slightly be a hypochondriac. Bleeding doesn't mean your going to lose him. Just chill and listen to your doctor. If you don't agree, then get a second opinon from another doctor. It's okay to have two doctors. Don't stress out tho.
