my daughter started the cranky slobbery phase when she was 3months old, but her first tooth did not break through until she was nearly 7 months old. But yes, babies can get teeth very early. Some as early as 2 or 3 months.

Some babies can be born with baby teeth!!! It is very plasible that a 2 month old is already teething. Every child ages differently & maybe she is just a little early compared to the mainstream. Just understand that she isn't a freak or miracle baby because this is happening, she's not gonna wind up retarded or gifted for it either. if you need more info, from an actual doctor, glance around the ivillage website under parenting. It helped me alot with my daughter.

My 1st son got his first tooth at 4 mo and wouldn't drink a bottle because it hurt to suck on it. He used a sippy cup until the swelling and pain stopped! He teethed on his cousins head! He was 6 days older and had a mouth full of teeth before his cousin had 1 at 12 mo! They would be playing on a pallet on the floor and mine would grab his cousin's bald head and start chewing. It was funny! My son was 9 lbs and wore a size 1 shoe at birth and the dr said his head was the size of a 10-12 lb baby! He had dark auburn hair and was dark with dark brown eyes at birth. My nephew was 6 lbs,had a nub for a foot and took forever to be able to hold a shoe on his foot, was very pasty white, bald and had very samll hands and head. They were too funny and grew up as close as twins. What one didn't think of the other one did!Their teeth come in different so don't worry!

Yes, babies can be born with teeth but is is not common. I am a mom of two. My youngest is currently working on all four two year molars. I strongly recommend Hylands's Teething Tablets. They dissolve almost instantly and really help with the irritabliily and restlessness. They are available at most pharmacies and are over the counter. Two is all you need. Three at the most!!!
