My baby will be 11 months next week. We lost our health insurance in March so he has not been to the doctor since March. I am reading baby books. In the morning he has two tablespoons of rice ceral or oatmeal ceral with 6 ounces of formula. He has a number 3 jar of vegetable or meat in the afternoon and a number 3 jar of fruit in the evening. He has 4 ounces of juice and water during the day. He has a few mor 6 ounce formula bottles during the day. He drinks about 26 ounces a day of formula. At bed time he has another two tablespoons of rice ceral with a 6 ounce bottle. Does this sound okay.

I dunno about this one. I'm sure I'll get a medley of responses.. I've already asked a few of my friends about this, and they're pretty much split 50/50 on the idea. What's your opinion?

I gave my son a scrambled egg this morning and he ended up throwing up all over. He has had small amounts of eggs before (just a couple of bites) and it has not made him sick. SInce he has thrown up he seems fine. Any thoughts? Was it the eggs or is he sick?

Sometimes when it's not my turn and the baby is crying really hard (he's teething) I HAVE too go see if I can comfort him but my honey gets a little testy cuz it's his turn nad he feels he should be able to comfort him. I know he can but it's just my instinct to try and make my baby feel better right? It's not me trying to be bitchy or pushy right? Just want some opinions on what I should do. Leave them alone or tell my honey I try but can't leave them alone. Which if any should I do????

My one year old has always been a bit picky with food but now will not eat anything apart from some dry bread and petit filous and a bit of banana if we're lucky. She has 4 x 200ml bottles of soya milk a day which is teh amount they state on the tub( she's slighlty allergic to cow's milk) and i have tried cooking my own food, giving her all different brands and types of baby food and we're lucky if she'll have a few spoonfuls then start spitting it out. She is quite petit but dosen't look unhealthy. Is this normal? I'm so worried.

I had my baby six months ago and tonight I went out on the town for the first time since she was born (it was for a friend's bachelorette party) some guy at the bar thought I was pregnant. I feel REALLY crappy about myself now. I am 5'2' and weight 127. I am at my pre pregnancy weight and didnt think I looked bad at all. Never in a million years thought someone would think I was preggo. I just feel like I want to crawl in a hole forever. has this happened to anyone else? I feel like I should never leave my house again unless I am in baggy sweats and a t shirt.

she is 8 weekd old, and she seems to be on her way to sleeping for about 6 hours straight at night. How many hours would be considered "sleeping through the night", and how do babies know it is night? During the day she never sleeps longer than 20 minutes even between feedings she stays awake, sometimes she is awake for over 10hrs, with just 10 min. naps here and there-how common is that? Thanks for any tips!

I thought that newborns sleep most of the day....at least 16 hours. But for some reason my little girl(5 weeks) is up ALL day. She takes little 10 minute naps here and there, but she's up most of the day til like 4am and is awake again by around 1pm. I know that she's getting an ok amount of sleep, but is it enough for a newborn?? I'm getting a little worried and I'm extremely tired myself. How is SHE not tired??

My daughter is 3 months old and she's a bigger baby than my first child was. Anyway I have noticed she seems to have a yeast type of infection under her neck in the fold of her skin. Are there any natural remedies I can try to clear this up?

I would prefer an over the counter remedy as it is 10:30 and I don't want to go to the ER because I have another child in bed.

What age did you take your child out for Halloween?
Do you think under a year old is to young?

My daughter is 5 a half weeks old, we just had a check-up and she is very healthy. My problem is that the Dr. said she has a little nasal congestion, she suggested that we put salt water up her nose... I can't do that... any other ideas. She has been having trouble sleeping and breastfeeding, yes I told Dr.

I breastfeed and can not get my daughter to drink from a bottle. She gags or pushes the bottle out with her tongue. My breast are not always available and sometimes I have to use a bottle. Any advise on the easiest way to convert from my nipple to a bottle nipple?

I'm not trying to be gross or funny just wondering about this.
I have heard that tons of germs come out of the toilet after you flush if you don't close the lid (after #2)...bathrooms are germy places anyway so I don't like my 7 month old daughter in there playing...Well my mother-n-law who I am staying with currently is driving me crazzzy and I really don't know what to say without feeling stupid...She will be up getting ready for work in the morning and takes it upon herself to put my daughter in her little umbrella stroller and sit her in the bathroom with her while she gets ready..ok thats not so bad right, well then she will precede to close the and go #2 with my daughter in the bathroom..Not only does this totally gross me out...I dont think it sanitary!! How should I apporach her about this?
