It's perfectly fine as long as you don't have it blowing directly on them. Also, don't put it on high. Med or low depending on how hot it is. The fan is also good for the circulation in the room I found that an air purifier and a fan is especially wonderful for a good nights sleep. make sure she has a blanket and remember to vacuum out the fan and keep her room dust free. Having a fan on will do nothing but circulate all that dust and that may cause allergies and a stuffed up head.

You should now your infant's physical body.

Some people like sleeping with a fan on in the room. Some people, like me, could stand... the fan. (Living with others: In the day time, I have a long sleeve on. In the night time, I cover the blanket even it's not directly on me.) Whatever I do, I still feel tired and even get a headache when I get up in the morning if the fan had been turned on that night.

Watching your infant's reaction when you turn on the fan might help.

Yes, you can have a fan on as long as it is not directly on the baby. The baby will be as warm or as cool as you are, so if you need extra clothes on or need to take some off (this includes blankets), then the baby will too. If it is cool (say 75F and below) I would suggest putting a cap on the baby's head.

Also, Dust & vacuum the room and clean the fan to keep dust and allergens from floating around. I would suggest getting an air purifier also. You can get one for about $20 at Walmart or other discount store.

If it is real cold, I would not use a fan. The fan will cause cold drafts that can give a baby a cold and the sinus drainage will give the baby pneumonia. So will allergies.

I wouldn't if I were you. If you haven't dusted or vacuumed in the room, all the little dusty herchins will have a house party especially with a fan left on. Remember that most house-hold pollutants are invisible and are floating around a.w.s. the fan more or less aggravates these pollutants.
That's why people with weak immune systems, and babies pick up viruses and allergies very easily and with a fan blowing them all around. Well think about it.

The air will still circulate in the room. Add a blanket or extra blanket and you will be fine.

It should be fine. Just make sure that your baby is wearing a sufficient amount of clothing or has a blanket.

It is definitely okay. Even if it *does* blow on her. Overheating is much more dangerous than cooling her off too much in the summertime.
