Sometimes when it's not my turn and the baby is crying really hard (he's teething) I HAVE too go see if I can comfort him but my honey gets a little testy cuz it's his turn nad he feels he should be able to comfort him. I know he can but it's just my instinct to try and make my baby feel better right? It's not me trying to be bitchy or pushy right? Just want some opinions on what I should do. Leave them alone or tell my honey I try but can't leave them alone. Which if any should I do????

That is wonderful that Daddy is involved that much!! Kudos to him!!
You are totally right it is a mother's instinct to comfort their child especially during a time like this when he is teething!!
Just simply tell you honey that you know he can handle it and he does a great job but since baby is teething and in pain maybe you can help out right now!!
No matter how close a child is with their dad when it comes to them being sick or in pain all they(children) want are their Mommy!!
It is nothing he is or is not doing that is just they way it is!!

I don't think that you are doing anything wrong you are just being a mother and he needs to understand that mothers tend to be able to comfort their children more than a father can because you have a bond with your children that cannot be broken. Children will always tend to want their mother more than their father because 90 percent of the time it is the mothers that are taking care of the children while the fathers are at work to make the money to provide everything for his family. You are doing a wonderful job keep up the good work.

Give your honey a chance to be a father. He deserves the chance to comfort just as you do. I'm sure you're a good mother, but back off a bit.

I think it's wonderful that your honey is willing to do this. I also think it's great that he wants to try and soothe the baby.

It's normal for a Mother to want to be there and try to soothe the baby on her own. You should let your honey try first though, because it's good for him. If you feel he is getting fustrated then maybe you should ask if he would like you to help (not take over).

If you keep "checking" on the baby when your honey has him its going to make him feel like you dont trust him to take care of the baby like he cant do a good enough job and pretty soon he may just get fed up with it.you might need to just back off a lil bit and enjoy the fact that your mans there to take care of him hes got it undercontrol and if he needs help he can always come get you
