Just curious about what you mothers think?
What age did you take your child out for Halloween?
Do you think under a year old is to young?
My daughter will be a little over 9 months on Halloween and I was thinking about dressing her up and taking her out just for fun..what do you think?

CUTE! If only for the opportunity to dress them up and take pics, it is so worth it. Just make sure that you pick a costume that is comfortable and appropriate for the weather. And don't stay out too late so that they can be back at home in bed before the happiness turns into miserable exhaustion. Plus, even though baby can't have the candy, usually daddy and mommy can take care of it no problem!!

I dressed my son up when he was 2 weeks old and took him for a walk around the neighborhood. Of course I didn't give him candy or anything. If you like Halloween and cute costumes then I don't think 9 months is too young. Just be smart about the candy thing. She's really too young for that.

My daughter was three months last Halloween, so my hubby and I had a small dinner party and watched scary movies. This allowed a lot of our friends to see her and spend time with them. Once she went to sleep, we laughed all night, ate food and had a good time. This year, she will be 15 months, and I am definitely going to take her out, maybe just around the block. But she is a social butterfly, so she will love it. I think it will be adorable to dress your daughter up, and take her out for a little while. Kids love stimulation, and she will be excited to see new things. Have fun.

My grandson was 9 months old last Halloween and my daughter just dressed him up at home and sat on the porch and handed out candy with him. He was a pea in a pod. He loved watching the trick or treaters.

we are taking our babies (2 and 6 months previous) with something of the kin and dressing them up for the photos and trick or treating. i comprehend they are little and could no longer keep in mind a piece, however the alternative is hiring a babysitter through fact one verify isn't adequate for the older little ones. With maximum of young ones working around and the loopy issues that may happen in Halloween, that's greater advantageous if my husband and that i pass mutually to maintain an intensive eye on the youngsters. If we are already conserving up with 4 little ones, including 2 babies to the nighttime isn't an excellent deal and it ought to truly make it greater specific. the youngsters love showing off their toddler brothers. we at the instant are not taking candy for the babies. Its in basic terms a relaxing little kin interest. Pity our teenager is no longer involved on candy and could pass to a Halloween dance extremely. Seeing how briskly they advance makes a touch greater desirous to take the babies. stupid sentimentalism, truly.

My son was 4 months old on his 1st Halloween. I dressed him up as Thomas the Tank Engine and took him to friends and family only. I also took him to the zoo with a friend of mine and her little girl.

Can she walk? And do you love candy? I took my son out for the first time when he was 2yr3mo he had a blast. The first two halloweens I dressed him up and he helped me hand out candy to all the other trick or treaters, a few scary costumes spooked him but all in all he seemed to enjoy everyone coming to his house for candy that he got to give them.

i think you should call one of your local nursing homes and see if they have a festivity for halloween. our local one has trick-or-treating INSIDE their facility. those older people LOVE to see babies. your child would feel like the star of a show! (and it REALLY makes the older people's day!)

i'm not opposed to taking a baby out... but they really don't have an interest in the candy yet. i still make my big kids go to the nursing home for a bit of their night on halloween... i like to know that people are just happy because the kids came. (the kids always get old people candy... but i make them go for the social element!)

My son was a newborn so we didn't take him out, but we did have a costume that we had his pic taken in. Last year I found a candy corn costume (my favorite halloween candy) and I took him downtown where all the stores were handing out candy, and the stuff that he could not eat, I gave to my niece (who was with us) or my husband ate it.

My friend's baby was only 4 months old this last Halloween, and they just took her around to family and friends' houses. Not to any strangers. And I know all the family and friends love it :)
