In the end he can't make the final decision (cuz the woman signs the birth certificate, he doesnt have to), but if I go through with it we might wind up getting divorced cuz in his mind it's a lack of respect towards him, even though I AM the one pressing that big thing out of my body and messing up my shape!

My daughter is on oxygen and monitors. She is eight and a half months old. I absolutly hate it when some one says "What's wrong with her" In my eyes there is nothing wrong with her. God gave me this "special needs child" and she is perfect. I usually just look at them and say "nothing, she just needs extra oxygen". What I really want to say is "nothing, what's wrong with you". Anybody else have this trouble?

It can begin with any letter. I prefer an A or an S if not whatever you can come up with.

Is it okay to just let them soak in a pan of water and a little baking sodas when they poop for about 5 minutes, and then, just wipe them down? I know i saw my mother do it when my sister was younger. She has come to expect all these washings though, and it's not always available like when she is at daycare (even though I specifically advised this) They now tell me she cries about poopy diaper changes, and she never do at home when I do, because I put her in the foot tub in baking soda water. Have I spoiled her? I heard a rumor that wipes are not healthy for baby girls all the time, so being a scared new dad, I went with what I saw my mom do. She has no rashes ever, she only gets redness from being wiped all the time at daycare. I just don't know what to do about the daycear situation...they should follow my instructions, right? Otherwise care is great, though, so I'm reluctant to complain...any advise?

My 8 month old is so smart, he literally pushes away the bottle and
shakes his head no when I try to feed him formula during the day.
However, he will eat any kind of baby food I give him, so I know he is
hungray. My question is, at this age how much formula/fluids does he
need?

I have heard every single lame excuse for not breastfeeding but there is only one that I truly believe. A good friend of mine told me that she didn't breastfeed because she didn't have a clue about breastfeeding and didn't know any better. See to me that's an honest answer because it's actually very true that there is very little support or information out there or support is not given unless they ask (unfortunately she is a single mom and can't afford internet). The other excuses, forget it. It's funny because when she told me this she looked at me ready to run in case I got on her case but I just looked at her and said "I'm not mad at you..that's the most honest answer I have ever heard"

my son is 9 months old and is teething...he just got his first tooth the other day. but he has diarrhea for 6 days and he got a fever on the 5th day, ussually when i give him tylenol or motrin it will break but sometimes come back, this time it will only break for maybe a couple hours if im lucky and then it spikes right back up again around 102 or so. i took him to the doctors this morning and she gave him an antibiotic shot and said he probably has a virul infection. i am still concerned because its not really breaking. when his fever is up he is really whiny but when its down he acts normal and plays. anyone with any suggestions i would really appreciate it!!!!!!!!

I've read about diapers that you fold, liners, velco (no pins) and on and on. Some of the packages I've seen in the stores seem so expensive and if you need to but them as they grow, is it worth it? I wouldn't be making them just buying and if you have any suggestions, ideas of where to look to get the best value -- I saw one post that said you can get one size that fits newborn through toddler but I can't find where to look.

So, if you can't tell, I'm pretty clueless on the subject!! Thank!

My baby is 5 months old, and I wasn't sure when I should pull the bumper pad out from her crib. I have an older daughter, but i don't remember what they told me when she was small. For some reason I'm thinking when she's old enough to start pulling herself up, but I really don't know. I know it can be for safety reasons, b/c she could sufficate, but I also thought it was so they can't get caught up in the slates. Thanks for all your help!
