i have a 2mths old baby and he sometimes does has the red bumps/rashes/milk bumps watever only on his cheeks. I believed it is due to the heat as well as breastmilk. It is a temporary thing but painful for them(imagine if you have the rash on your face). There are 2 lotions(diaper rash cream called Drapolene or aloe vera gel called Jorubi) that i used which seems to work and it will go away in a few days. I prefer the aloe vera gel as it is the miracle plant. I used it for pimples, cuts, stretchmarks even ulcers. You can go to the website to find out. Hope it works on your baby too.

It is baby acne but I have the real name for you. It's called Milia and baby's from 0 - 12 months can get it and it deals with dead skin being trapped in the pores. My baby had it and my doctor told me what it was and I read about it online. It's nothing to worry about and it does go away. It can cause red spots but also make sure your baby hasn't been around anyone with chicken pox or measles.
I real your answers but it looks like I'm the first to give you the real name for it. You can research online and read all about it and I hope I helped you out so you don't worry so much.

sounds like infant acne. It's nothing, just your baby's skin developing. It will go away. If you're unsure still, see a doctor, but I'm sure that's what it is. Don't squeeze the pimples. And dont' scrub the little one's face. There are all sorts of books on newborns, check the library.

dont worry....its actually baby acne and happens up until the second month. The reason why is because hormones from you are still circulating in the baby's body. It takes about 2 months for all the hormones to leave the baby's body....unless your breast feeding...then it could take a little longer. Its normal and most babies (if not all) have it. Dont worry. If you wanna do a search about it, just type in "baby acne" and read up about it. But Im positive thats what it is. Good luck.

My baby is 4 months, and at age 1 months, she had this same thing. Upon her checkup, i asked the m.d. about it, and he said it was crossover hormones, left over from the birth. Sometimes they don't show up until later, but it's when the mother's hormones cross over to the baby's skin. It took about a month to heal, and it's similar to the hormones that cause pimples to appear. It should heal up on its' own, but if your baby starts itching or showing discomfort, ask your pediatrician.

My son used to get what looked like white heads and there is nothing you can do about those, but I would call the doctor about the redness. Has anyone in your family been exposed to chicken pox?

Sounds like infant acne, which clears up on its own, but I would take the baby to the doctor just to be sure-there are so many infant skin conditions.

It could be heat rash or measles or unspecified dermatitis. Don't chance it, take the baby to a clinic or hospital for the answer asap!

My little grandson had bumps all over his face and he was allergic to the fabric softener my daughter was using on his clothes in the wash.
