Some people blame the legalization of abortion for the 'lack' of babies to adopt.

But isn't the feminist movement also responsible for Western society's high infertility rates? By most accounts, a woman's fertility starts falling at 30, and to more than 50% by the 40s.

Has our culture taught girls to 'achieve' in other arenas, and minimized the possibility of having a family?

Do most women want to adopt because they spent their fertile years pursuing other goals?

Should we be educating girls about diminishing fertility in schools?

Isn't it weird that some of the people on Y! (I won't name names) act like some of the people at my old elementary school? They were really bratty people (usually girls) who thought they were better than everyone, and made fun of me, and tried to make me get mad so I could get into trouble? (and I did.) It just breaks my heart because I wonder what they will be like when they grow up. Will they be on COPS? I remember I told them that if they do that at highschool or collegde, that people would just kick their as*' (including me.) People would also not want to be around them. But that's too late for that! ...I don't think they got the message... What do you think happend to them? Elementary was the worst years of my life.

I dont want to diet much, was a great deal before I got pregnant, but am so afraid of reaching my last pregnancy weight of 230 pounds ( I was overweight the first time before I got pregnant) I was 145lbs this time, but am shooting up to 160-165 lbs with in a few weeks! Not obsessed, just concerened, and wondering how to SAFETLY slow it down the weight gain without hurting my child. And can I exercise safetly, including weights?

A childhood friend of mine has a six year old daughter who my family picks up from preschool 5 days a week and we bring her home until her mother picks her up. I have a 2 year old son. Let me say that I am not close with her mother at all. Her mother and my mother are best friends. The 6 y/o is sick ALL THE TIME. And has been for YEARS. It is obvious her mother could care less about her, the child bathes herself once a week and dresses herself. I live in Mass. and it is typical that she doesn't even wear a coat, hat, or mittens. Last year she got my son sick and he had pnemonia for 2 weeks. Then we didn't watch her for about 7 months. She was here on Christmas and she could HARDLY BREATHE. Her eyes were literally swollen shut. My son was already on antibiotics for an ear infection and now he is very ill, probably pneumonia again. My mother called her and left her a msg saying we could not watch her anymore. Is there anything else I should do in this situation?

(apart from one stupid time when we were drunk)
about a month ago i found out i was pregnant, a scan a few days later confirmed i was 7 wks, by the end of that week i was booked in for an abortion, as my partner and i knew we would not be able to cope, also i am just getting over post natal depression, i knew this was the right thing to do, so i went ahead with the abortion, i was petrified of having it but i honestly knew it was the right thing for me.
now its been 2 weeks since having it done and i thought i was fine about it but im not sure i am i keep thinking about the baby and i think i regret it i no nothin can be done now, but y was i fine then and didnt want it but regret it now?

I've been doing some reading and it says that mucous plugs are ususally brown or pink... However, I have been having yellow stringy stuff come out when I wipe and, I noticed, it's on my under wear when I go to the bathroom... Is this or could it be my mucous plug?

My husband and I are trying to conceive a second child. Last month we had intercourse a day before I ovulated. I was scheduled to start my period on 12/8-12/9. On the morning of 12/9 I went to the bathroom and had a BM and when I wiped had some red string things (which I learned from being pregnant with my son - were broken blood cells from pushing - didn't have that before that..and not until a month ago). Then I spotted again a day or so later and then started what I thought was my period. But I am usually heavy from day one to day 5, but this time I didn't even have to wear a pad until day 3 or so, I would just have blood when I wiped. I believe I had some clots (which is normal for my period) but right now cannot remember. So I went about normal thinking, I wasn't pregnant. Well the other night I wiped and had these red strings again. Then right now after having a BM, I have them again. Now I am not sure...could I be pregnant? I took a test the other night and it came out negativ

My first child is almost one year old and I am working on transitioning her to a sippy cup and also onto taking more solids and less formula. We're switching to organic cow's milk once we have worked on this current transition!
I don't know if I am feeding her correctly. She's quite picky and sometimes eats a ton, othertimes eating like a little bird. I have no idea if this is too mjuch or too little. Please tell me what you think:
One 8 ounce bottle around 6am (she usually takes about 6 oz)
Breakfast at 8 (usually baby oatmeal and banana or wholewheat pancakes and fruit)
A small snack (usually wheat toast with a topping like cheese or hummus)
Lunch (veggies and some protein)
Bottle around 12:30 (around 8 oz)
Small snack (yogurt or crackers), mid afternoon
Dinner around 5:30 - whatever we're having
Bottle at 7:00 (6-8 oz)
-She also take sips of water whenever she wants although she refuses formula from a sippy cup. She's not liking it at all!
Thanks for any advice!

My 6 week old breastfed baby RARELY burps, but spits up often. He is hard to put down because he spits up when you place him on his back. He recently has become very fussy and cries like he is in pain. I'm not sure what to do.

I know this is the worst place to ask advice on a serious matter like this but I am so lost I don't know what else to do. I have an adoption all set up for my child. I am 17 years old and I live with the father and we are very close. My reasons for adoption was finance- which there are programs to help and now both parents are willing to help which they weren't before. My other reason was that I wanted to go to college and be set up before we had children but that doesn't seem important now. I am having this baby in one month so I need to decide fast. Any suggestions for me?

okay, we've been trying for over a year to get prego ( my mom took about that amount of time w/ each pregnancy) and that's how long it took for my first child. the last few days, my breasts are extremely tender feeling, almost swollen, but not necessarily to the touch, just a dull constant ache. they are never sore before my cycle, and i'm only 26, so it's not menopause. it's still 2 weeks til my period, and my husband has told me lately that i'm unusually moody and emotional.

my question is, is it reasonable to get my hopes up? or what are some other causes of breast pain? i should probably know the answer to all this already since i've had a child, but my last pregnacy was really mild. i was sick due to my blood sugar issues, but not many normal symptoms like vomiting, or cravings. so.
just looking for opinions, thanks for your time :) no harm in asking right?

Was it for the better or for the worse?
If you've had the baby, did it go back to the way it was?
Did you find it hard to communicate with them, about your feelings, or what you were going through?
