What sense does it make to get up in arms about a mother or father swatting a child on the butt to correct bad behavior (or, for that matter, even beating the child) but then turn around and support the murder of children just because Mommy and Daddy don't know how to keep their legs shut?

How do you feel when it's time for your child to have a vaccination? Upset, worried, glad they're safe?

What are your beliefs on them overall? Should your child/children have them or not?

Just curious on different opinions.

I have been given nearly all my vaccinations. Apart from the BCG (tb) thankfully they stopped it just before my year in school was due to have it!

Hi,
I am about 5 months in pregnancy and i am feeling little pops right under my right rib cage.
wasn't for sure if it were gas or not.
doesnt seem normal to feel it there, maybe in the middle of my abdomen, but not under the rib, dunno thats why im here!

I'm 27 week and yesterday I found out Im having a girl.. I feel soooo bad for feeling the way I do.
I just always pictured my first baby a boy and actually all of them boys.
Has anyone else gone through this?.. I feel like such a bad person.

I have been having many pregnancy symptoms but did a hpt and got a negative result. I am not due to get my period until thursday, 2 days, but I feel pregnant. I have heartburn, nausea, sore back, tired all the time, increase cervical mucous, increased saliva, moodiness, sore boobs, darkening areola's, increase in smell. Could I be pregnant? Or is just in my head, I'm going crazy I just want to know what the chances are. Could I have all these symptoms and not be pregnant?

Does getting an epidural drug your baby? And what are the risks of getting one? What are the pos and cons. I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I plan on having a natural birth. I dont believe anyone should get an epidural unless it would be of benifit for an emergency to help you and your baby. but other than that I think its rediculous. did all our wonderful mothers get epidurals way back in the day? NO they were REAL women and had there babies! but im just wondering exactly what the risks are and if it does in fact drug your baby up? thanks ♥

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Is anyone else sick of looking 'mumsy'? I went to a mother and baby group for the first time today and I seemed to be the only one who looked all mumsy and not very flattering at all. All the other mums looked amazing, very trendy clothes on, make-up and hair perfect and without any extra flab anywhere. Whereas I seem to look run down, totally unglamorous and very VERY mumsy! Am I the only one or does anyone else feel like this?

Expecting $3, about 11 weeks along. Felt #1 move roughly 3.5 months along, felt #2 move 12 weeks along (I know, some say it's 'impossible', but I swear, i did). So when did you feel your little ones move (not counting the first, which is said to take longer?). I am hoping within the next 2 or 3 weeks! Every gas bubble or shift down there makes me go 'Is that you?!? Nope, not yet!'.

My son will be turning 6 in late December and for some reason he was gotten into the habit of pooping in his pants again, but he alway makes it to go pee. My 2 week old does something very strange, when she falls asleep her eyes are wide open shooting back and forth like in REM sleep. While she does this she does many facial gestures like smile and crying face...sometimes she even falls asleep without even closing her eyes, this is scaring me a bit, is this normal?

My one year old and my three year old are both sick. I took them to the doctor and they tell me its just a cold. They both are coughing, congested, and have runny noses. The one year old has had no sign of fever although my three year old has had a low grade fever a few times! They both are having trouble sleeping and you can really tell that they don't feel good at all!
I am giving both of them mortion and using a vaporizer at night although thats all because of the resently found issues with over the counter cold meds for kids... the doctor will not give them anything! Is there anything else I can give them or do that would help them get over this? Thanks for the help!
