Is anyone else sick of looking 'mumsy'? I went to a mother and baby group for the first time today and I seemed to be the only one who looked all mumsy and not very flattering at all. All the other mums looked amazing, very trendy clothes on, make-up and hair perfect and without any extra flab anywhere. Whereas I seem to look run down, totally unglamorous and very VERY mumsy! Am I the only one or does anyone else feel like this?

I feel like this all the time... it seems like I never have time to do anything with my hair, make up, outfits... any of that anymore, and i don't even have a newborn anymore! when I do have time is when my sons sleeping, and during that time, I try to clean the house up a bit, and relax myself, not worrying about how I look... but than I have to go out for something or another, and I tend to think about it a lot more... if only there were more hours in the day, and I had a little bit to myself time...

I sure do. I need a body wave, highlights and a good cut. Then I need a mani/pedi. And after that, I need to go shopping for some attractive attire. There certainly isn't any in my closet! And I have nothing but "sensible" shoes. Losing weight would help, too. Oh, and a makeup makeover. A good massage would be appropriate...

NO, i did too!! I think it also depends on the kids age, but that's just me. as my daughter has gotten older (4) i have gotten back to the old me, dressing up and doing my hair and makeup more often...thing is, it's a choice. it's sometimes hard to get out of the rut but make friends with one of those moms and confide, see if they cant help u with it. if not that, just start treating urself to what u need and want...buy you some clothes and new makeup and make it a point to take the time to do it for YOU!

I feel this way sometimes and I see other moms at my daughter's school that way. I've never been much of a trendy dresser in the first place.
