My son was 10 months old and had a febrile seizure. He had a high fever and was vomiting all day. I think he was on antibiotics. His eyes stayed open and he foamed from his mouth. It scared me so much, but luckily my husband was home to be the calm one. He just rubbed him and softly touched him until he stopped shaking. From what I hear, that's the best thing to do when someone is having a seizure. He has not had one since and is 4 and a half. I hope my story helps. My prayers are out for your baby's health.

It is normal as far as I know. If it is concering you give the dr. a quick ring. As far as I know my daughter did this and still does once in a while and she is going to be seven months old. It is just a stage of sleep, sometimes she laughs in her sleep, smiles, talks, etc. My dog will even sometimes sleep with eyes open and it is freaky.

That's totally normal. My daughter did that for about the first month. It is creepy at times, but her little smiles were so cute too. Your baby is just dreaming. Some adults sleep with their eyes slightly open too.

She is just dreaming.
My older son did that the first year and a half - my best friend's grandson did it. Both are very smart. by the way.
It is normal, and most people eventually outgrow sleeping with eyes open.

I've heard of this, I think its probably pretty rare. How would you know that she is really asleep, since her eyes are open? Def. tell her doctor
