I love these names..they sound so classy! But I also like unique names, and not into the whole naming your kid the same thing 5 other kids will have in his/her class.

I like girl old fashoin names better than boys. Some such as Esther, Edith, Virginia, etc sound too old, while others like Charlotte, Eloise, Felicity, Phoebe, and Evangeline are elegant classics. For boys I like Oliver, Evander, and Braxton, also Quinton, Raymond, and Charles, but Thaddeus, Felix, Cedric, and Alastair just aren't my style.

It really depends on the name for me. Some names I love, and some names I don't love. For example I think Evangeline, Oliver, Isadora, Phoebe, and Braxton are really nice but the rest don't appeal to me, like Gertrude or Thaddeus, I just find those names TOO old fashioned.

Cecily, Felicity, Theodora, Thaddeus, and Oliver are all faves of mine.

I have a daughter named Amelia, which I think is kind of an old-fashioned name. I also love the names Anna, Samuel, Henry, Lydia...also somewhat old-fashioned.

I think old fashioned names are cool. Some names are so overused that there are 2 or 3 kids in a class with the same name. I do think though giving someone a more modern middle name is a good idea so if they do not care for their given name, people could possibly call them by their middle name if they prefer. I gave my son a old fashioned name and he likes it.

When you say old fashioned i think of - Doris (my nan), Ethel, Mary, Margaret, Alastair, George.
But saying that some names can sound "classic" and not old and "fuddy duddy" if you know what i mean! I really like Felicity, Phoebe and Evangeline!

I love old fashioned style names, but not so much the ones you chose. I like Cecily and Eloise quite a bit. I also like (love) Oliver and Alastair.

I don't like old fashioned names but I do like classic names. Names that are "old fashioned" are just that--old. Classic names, on the other hand, are the names that have been around since the beginning of time it seems like but have remained popular (and for good reason).

Some classic names I like are Hannah, Rachel, James, and Jacob.

Some of the girls' names are great, especially Phoebe. Gertrude...not so much.

The boys' names are great.
