One of my friends thinks that she may be pregnant but she is still having a normal period. Is this possible? She also wants to know if she is between 4 & 5 months, is it still possible that she can suck in her stomach? she got a physical about a month ago and got a blood test done. if she was pregnant, wouldnt they have found out then?

My child's father has been playing cat-and-mouse games with my daughter for 11yrs. He paid child support last month. The reason why he did this was to "buy time" until the next court. The most he's ever paid in support is $300.00. He promised to pay this month but every time I call him to discuss arrangements he doesn't answer his phone. I have been wanting to tell him how this has effected myself and my daughter. I want to get closure but I don't want to seem desperate. We are both represented by private attorneys but when my lawyer send his lawyer letters regarding my case, my child's father response is that his lawyer has a lot of personal problems going on. I'm sick of the games. I want to give up on this situation. I don't want to go on another year with the issue at hand. Does guys especially dead-beat dads get effected when they receive letters expressing how they should be grownups and not babies work? I need help. What should I do? Any sound advice would help. Thanks.

Hubby and I have been TTC since March. I have endometriosis and I've been seeing a naturopath for two years. She's stopped my painful periods and she's helping me with TTC. The last two months I've had sore boobs with very dark veins on them, exhaustion, nausea, all of which I know are both PMS and pregnancy symptoms. AF is also now turning up late as well, which has been getting my hopes up because of the symptoms. The naturopath says that symptoms are a good sign because I have enough hormones racing through me to help me TTC, but I've been devastated the last two months because I've never had PMS symptoms before and keep thinking I'm pregnant. How do I deal with the disappointment each month? I know I shouldn't stress, but is anyone else in the same position - going from no PMS symptoms to all of a sudden having PMS symptoms that mirror pregnancy symptoms and thinking they're pregnant, just to be let down?

I was diagnosed with Placenta Previa during my second trimester, I was just cleared today at 32 weeks, and no longer have previa. My baby is breech and his feet are extremely low in my abdomen...I mean like right at my pubic hair line. My Dr. has suggested he will turn the baby at 36 weeks if he's still in the breech position...but isn't it a waste to try and turn a baby that is already engaged? I'm concerned with all the trouble I've had in this pregnancy, I think it's just best to go with the c-section. I'm also worried if I turn the baby based on where my placenta is and his head, we will cause the cord to be rapped around his head, does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on this one?

Sort of a personal question, but I heard that getting pregnant from a man's pre-c** is very rare, but I also heard that the "pull-out" method is the worst type of birth control "method" out there.. and has a high chance of pregnancies. I am concered that I am pregnant now, but it would be because of the "pull-out" method. I am not on BC- and wouldn't mind having a child, but want to know how many of you women have got pregnant from the "pull-out" method, or Pre C** ?? Thank you!

People have such strong opions about teenage moms, just because im 18 doesn't mean im going to be a bad mother, so why does everybody assume that. People think just because I got pregnant im not going to finish school and go to collage, or that I take the role of being a mother lightly. I have a beautiful 3 week old daughter and she is everything to me, I'm still going to school and plan to go to college. So why do people have such negitive things to say about me? I read some of the things people post about young people who have become pregnant and come to this site for advice and all you can give them are your negitive thoughts on the subject, and yet when you write and ask for help you expect people to respond with helpful thoughts not "you should have kept your legs shut" and other hurtful rude remarks. Does makeing these people feel worse about a already bad situation make you feel better or do you all just write these things to make urselfs feel superior?

And how old are they?

I have 2 sons ages 8 and 12 and yes we still have a bedtime routine. What is included in their routine? Reading, bath etc.

For my 8 year old.

Routine starts at around 7:30

Bath from 7:30 and let him play until about 8, lotion him up, cream his face and pjs, cuddle to about 8:20, brush teeth to 8:25, and then he is in bed by 8:30

For my 12 year old

Starts at about 8:15, bath from 8:15 to usually 8:30, lotion him up cream his face, pjs then cuddle to about 8:50, brush teeth and in bed by 9:00.

Anyone have any advice? My cousin is 13, an only child, and she has no friends because shes a self centered spoiled brat. She has no respect for anyone, she gets in fights and the next day thinks nothings wrong. She always gets what she wants from her parents. I know this is wrong, but I feel horrible telling her mom to not buy her so much She LOVES her daughter so much. Her mom is basically her only friend (even though she disrespects her); she plays games with her, spends time with her, and feels sorry for her because she has no friends. She has recently met a couple of guys on myspace, and calls them (in texas and virginia, the virginia guy is a MAN, not a boy). Her mom took her cell phone away and the computer. Has anyone else experienced this with their child? What advice can I give her mother? I told her to seek counseling, however the daughter says she will not talk to a counselor. Would the counselor get her to talk? HELP!

OK - I've been breastfeeding for 8 months now...everything has been fine. All the sudden...in the last few days - my left nipple has been very sore - especially when she is nursing from that side. It's not cracked or anything....not sure what is going on. Milk supply is fine...and baby doesn't notice a difference. Does anyone know what could be the problem.....or ever had that problem yourself? THANKS

I posted this is the health and beauty section but I thought I would try the infant section , maybe someone is or has gone thru this before.

Okay my 20mth old daughter has VERY thick curly hair , but the problem is her hair is dry. I tried using the johnson & johnson line for her hair and that makes it even worse. I do not want to mess her hair up by using adult products on it , and I even tried this new line especially for babies called Baby Love , it works at the time but by the end of the day her hair is dry again. Someone please help me , lol . I need a remedy to control her curly dry hair .

I just had my period but i've read that some people still have their period when they are pregnant.. is that rare though?
Also sometimes with my pill i forget to take it at 7am but i still take it within the 12 hour limit..
I've heard that if you are pregnant and if you continue to take the pill you cna have a miscarriage..
i've been off my period for about a week now but i'm still afraid that i might still be pregnant even though i've had no signs.. any signs i should look out for?

My friend has a daughter who is about to turn 8. She refered to her as a "preteen" the other day, b/c she needed to now buy preteen gifts , (mp3 players, and other electronic stuff), instead of regular toys (dolls, and games and other girl toys). She said all the other girls her age were interseted in the same types of things also, and that preteen was now at a younger age then in our day. (btw, we are only in our mid 20's). I think shes crazy, and preteen should not be until age 11. What do you all think?

How do you monitor whether or not they are getting enough iron and nutrients you would get from meats? I am a vegetarian and would like my son to be, but am guessing I should wait until he is a bit older? He is 6 months old.

What do you think of the name Eila for a girl? (I just came across it and thought it was very pretty. It seems like a much less popular alternative to names like Ella and Ava.)

Does anyone have a reliable meaning for it? (I think it's a real Finnish name, not just a combination name.)
