I can't seem to manage putting my two-year-old son in his playpen/bed/high chair for more than two minutes w/o him screaming uncontrollably! I need a few minutes break everyday to wash clothes, clean the kitchen, etc. I can't let him run all around my house b/c there are just too many ways he could get hurt. I am just looking for suggestions as to how to keep him happy and occupied for a few extra minutes every day in his playpen! Thanks for your help!

My son was caught writing about an inappropriate topic in school last week, and so they called me in to meet with administrators and such. During the meeting I was told it was of a sexual nature and rather explicit. He was answering another student's question about "glueballing"?? I had never heard the term before and when it was explained to me I felt sick to my stomach. What now? Do I follow the standard punishment procedures or is my son a sexual deviant?

I look after my 10 month old son
I run a once a week youth group for 10-14 yr olds on a Friday night
I run a once a fornight Sunday school class for 10-14 yr olds
I run two weekly Mums and Toddlers groups - one on a Monday afternoon for 0-5 yr olds, one on a morning Friday for 0-3s
I have a job where I work Saturday 9-5.30pm and Thursday 6-9pm
I am doing too much?

If so, what should I cut out?

I'm due in 10 weeks & I know it's coming to a point where they will have to know eventually. I live far enough from them where I have hid it successfully this far but i can't hide the baby. I'm not a child i'm 30 it's just that this baby is not by my husband & the guy who it's by i am not in a relationship with & have no plans to be although he claims he's going to be here for his son.

Where does our school taxes go towards? I pay $80 for school fees for each child....buy ALL their school supplies plus more for kids that can't afford them. Since school has started both the kids have sent papers home for $5, $10 here and there for field trips, more school supplies, parties. I know kids are rough on supplies but it gets a little pricey.

My husband is a pilot and aviation mechanic and loves airplanes so we are kinds leaning in that direction. His father used to fly a Cessna and had to make an emergency landing and passed away. If we name our girl Cessna is that torture or cute?

I hear moms saying that a baby is 12 weeks old instead of saying 3 months, or 24 months instead of 2 years. What's the magic number of weeks/months till they're months and years old?

My husband and I are still trying to settle on a baby boy name (just preparing). Of course we were being very silly and coming up with absolutely ridiculous things and somehow got on the subject of naming him some kind of profession (Plumber! Professor! Barista!).

Out of nowhere he says, "Apothecary".

Now, this would *never* be a name we'd actually give a child (it's just ridiculous and can't be shortened into anything even resembling a real name), but the rhythm of the word along with our single-syllable last name sounded fantastic. We searched for other 5 syllable names but goodness, they were frightening (and generally unpronounceable).

We also thought there was a movie or show with a character name Something Something Jones (not Indiana) that had a similar feel but couldn't remember it.

Any suggestions on a (real) boy name with a similar feel, rhythm, or sound to "Apothecary"? Serious names only, please.

I hope we have a girl first because that name was easy!

He is a complete slacker and my in-laws let him get away with everything. he sits and plays xbox and world of warcraft all day every day and refuses to do anything at all other than that. last year he almost failed for missing so much school, he had to go to summer school which was a joke. he gets up in the morning, tells his mother he doesnt want to go, she calls him in absent, he goes back to bed. this happens at least 2-3 times a week. his first grade card came back last week and it was all D's and F's except for one C. they took his xbox and computer away for 2 whole days WOW. they both dont have much education, so they must not feel he needs one. he is worthless, they are even more worthless. they are setting him up for failure and they dont seem to care. is there a way i can can get the school and truancy people involved so they will hold them accountable legally if they dont start forcing him to attend school? it angers me that they dont care.

"Allowed"
"Have to"
"Can't"

It is the woman's choice, and hers alone. Health professionals may give her advice, but it is up to her whether she accepts their recommendations. Anyone who tells a woman that she is not "allowed" to have a birth the way she wants it, "Has to" give birth the doctor's way, or "Can't" do something she wants for her baby's birth misunderstands his own authority.

Anyone else have any words or phrases (or stories) to add? :)

me this!

Good morning. Your vision is important to God... The scripture says.. Wait, I say, wait on the Lord! In the book of Galations chapter 6 and verse 7 it reads.. “Be not decieved, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap...” Be patient! Vision delayed does not mean vision denied.

I had a c section 9 weeks ago, my waters broke early and I had to have an emergeny c section after inducing failed. I was advised that due to a low lying placenta I would never have gone in to labour naturally, surely this could have been deteced on my scans?

I am annoyed as I have since been informed that my doctor should have detected this early on and I could have prepared myself for a c section. I live in Greece and had to go to another island to have my baby, I had a very bad expereince at the hospital and my doctor was not interested in my well being after the birth, in fact I received no advice whatsoever on recovery from a c section, I had to read books for all the info.

Should this have been detected ealry on? I had several 4 D scans, the last one being at 31 weeks

i'm in my 33rd week of pregnancy,
and last night... i found out my husband was having an affair,
to then later find out, a family member had passed.

i felt like it was all too much and spent the whole day crying on and off, i felt so alone.

today i am trying to relax as much as possible.

i tried to stay strong for my baby, but i just couldn't hold it in any longer.
did i do harm to my baby by this??
